That’s capitalism for you; the game is rigged, the rich and powerful carve everything up between them, and the ordinary punters let them get away with it, so long as they are thrown a few scraps from the table. Meanwhile, supporters turn a blind eye to anything so long as they get that new signing who either a) turns out to be nothing more than a very expensive haircut, or b) has one good season then downs tools til he gets his big move.
