So what plans have you got, to keep yourself occupied?

 

Well tomorrow we are taking the car to get some accident damage sorted .

then 08:45 Friday I am having a Covid test . If I am clear I’ve have to self isolate from when I get back to Monday @16:00 when I have a camera up the bum . And before the week is out I have another one in tomcock and a dentist appointment ( not related ) .

After that I don’t know .

I assume you're not state retirement age. Well I never ever assumed you was that old. Hopefully given time you'll be able to relax into a few new hobbies, that you've always wanted to do, but never had the time.

 

I’m 55 , Mrs J is a big older and is happy in retirement. I know after 4 weeks or so I will have to look for something to do . Covid is no fun , so perhaps in the spring ? Small delivery job of something to get me out of the way for 2 days or so per week . Time will tell .

 

All sounds good. Spring is the best time for delivery jobs, defo not take one up this time of year, with the nights drawing in. You might be able to get into one of the supermarket delivery jobs, if you have a fulfilment centre near you, for a couple of days a week, hours that suit you. I assume the vehicles they drive are 3.5T so will do nicely on a standard licence. Anyway, would give you a bit of pocket money to take up other interests.

Yes . What ever I do , it will be to give Mrs J some time to herself !

from experience if you're up to it i'd go with the getting a PT job .

 

Or an allotment. That's what my dad did. Kept him busy and out of the way of my mother.

End of an era mate. But a massive opportunity to do all of the things you put off because of work. I would just say, make sure you plan ahead and have an idea of how you want to spend your time. My old man retired and just drifted, in the end I’m convinced it contributed to his dementia as never really took up any hobbies or got involved with anything.
