    In fact £30 is £33

I know, but apparently unless you're over 18, it won't allow you to set up an iFollow account.

I agree for groups it's not as easy, buy everyone in that group still gets the points and maybe not everyone in said group lives in the same house so could possibly now not be watching together, I think the options they have given everyone are fair and probs the best they could do in the unprecedented situation. It's better then I expected from them

I don't think its particularly unfair, but I do think that there is another stage that they could introduce to make it even better.

My dad is fairly happy at paying £20 as he thinks getting the streams for that money is decent value per month. However, my payment at £30, with no prospect of coming back, could build up into a LOT of store credit, which I don't think I'll get through.

However, if they dropped the fee a little for me and got rid of the store vouchers, I'd be less likely to cancel.

As it stands it feels like a big commitment at £30, so between that and cancel I'd def stop paying. If it was a bit cheaper, it would be more tempting, which surely is better than no money coming from me at all?

Interesting post Drew.At this moment in time and with all the uncertainties surrounding life I think the £30 has become a bridge too far for some people(my cousin's recently become unemployed and is feeling the pinch so may have to quit).Of course if you buy the Merchandise on a regular basis then it's probably a reasonable proposition and with Xmas approaching some will use the credit on gifts?

It gives people an option to get out with no penalty too, which again I think reasonable.Totally out of curiousity, what sort of figure would you put on your idea to cheapen it a bit?

Id be in the 15/20 area I think.

if they are pricing streams at £10 for the average punter I think that would be a fair cost on either side, with the £60 already taken.

I get where you're coming from but in all honesty I can't see it happening.I think employment status and Cash flow of the individual will ultimately make the decision. My cousin has been going for many, many years but having spoke to him there he seems to have made his mind up to cancel(employment status).I told him I could support him for a while, buy merchandise(for the grandkids etc)from his credit and reimburse him but not indefinitely but he seems to have made his mind up...

Got a strange email from the club today asking me to visit the new ticketing website, although there’s no tickets currently available.

I’ve done absolutely no business via the club since 2016. I didn’t even respond to GDPR update requests.

Yet suddenly today, an email & customer number & no tickets to sell.

I agree, I think they'll want as many full price memberships as they can and won't want to offer people that alternative, but its worth a try!

I'd have thought that this would lead to fewer cancellations and less merchandise giveaways, which even at cost will cost them a significant amount if they are giving every member £30 worth of shop stuff every month.

You had to pay up front. Imagine the uproar amongst our fans over that.

Get ready when things restart for the howls of outrage when people who have cancelled their memberships find they can't get the same seat again.

At least the club will have an updated list of all the people who have 'supported them all my life' the next time there is a clamour for match tickets.

I’m sure many of Ehab's “irrelevants” are now missed.
