Good Morning. It's Wednesday 30th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Cuisance is set to undergo medical at Elland Road today

Leeds and Bayern Munich have agreed on a fee of 20m for their highly-rated midfielder Michael Cuisance, but only with a buy-back clause inserted into the deal, giving the Germans the option of re-signing him in the future at a much higher price.

Cuisance had reportedly grown tired of having a lack of game time with the German Champions and after a lengthy phone call from Bielsa himself, looks forward to being Leeds first natural attacking midfielder they have had since Saiz

The 21yo is on his way to West Yorkshire to undergo a medical this afternoon and will be available for selection for the visit of Manchester City.

Leeds abandon hopes of landing James or Kent as third option is unveiled

Leeds have ditched their attempt to land Manchester United Winger Dan James, even if the Reds manage to capture their number 1 target Jadon Sancho, which would push the 22yo down the pecking order further.

The former Swansea player has told Solskjaer that he wants to stay and fight for his place. The baby faced assassin must think a lot of James as Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth has made it clear that they are desperate to offload players!

Leeds have also lost interest in Rangers Winger Ryan Kent. The Whites would have to part with 20m to activate his release clause. They believe they have uncovered a gem

Versatile Dutch Winger Gyrano Kerk has caught the eye of Cagliari, Verona and Celtic in recent times, having scored 11 goals last season.

The 24yo has blistering pace, can operate on either wing or as a striker. He is seen as much better value for money player than Kent.

Leeds have already opened communications with Dutch outfit FC Utrecht over an £8million fee.

This proposed transfer seems to have silenced reports linking Teun Koopmeiners to a move to West Yorkshire.

Bielsa - Cooper is going nowhere

Marcelo Bielsa has also insisted Leeds captain Liam Cooper 'is a huge part of this club' following the arrival of Spain defender Diego Llorente.

Llorente, 27, completed a reported £18million move from Real Sociedad this week, while another international centre-half, Germany's Robin Koch, joined Leeds last month from Freiburg for a fee of around £13m.

“In principle I think he will play and Cooper is a huge part of this club,” Bielsa said. “I’m referring to the patrimony between him and the institution.

“Institutions are bigger when they have patrimonies like this, when they have someone who behaves in an impeccable manner, as Cooper does.”

“It’s not that we plan to play with a back three more often and it’s not to increase competition, because Pascal played a very important game against Liverpool,” Bielsa said of Llorente’s arrival.

“Koch is the only right-sided centre-back we have at the moment and if he got injured we would have had to get someone very young from the youth team or we would have had to move (Luke) Ayling or (Kalvin) Phillips out of position.

“We don’t have Berardi and with Ben White having left, it was necessary to have two players to count on in this position.”

    Morning all...

I’ve been watching some footage of Cuisance, if he doesn’t arrive with an attitude problem he is going to be huge for us, very versatile in midfield and looks like a ready made Bielsa player, closes players down well, wins the ball and with one pass turns defence into attack.

I think we’ve given up on De Paul as Cuisance offers Bielsa more options, in Cuisance we have a midfielder who could replace Roberts, Pablo, Klich or Phillips, in De Paul we’d have a pure and simple number 10.

If we need a more attacking option or a second attacker to sit in behind Bamford we have Rodrigo. I’d like to have got James too, he has PL experience and I believe Bielsa could have made him special.

Morning all. Does the buy back clause mean that we have to sell him if they meet the price?.

I think it means that if he gets a 5 year contract and, say, before 3 years are up he wants to leave then if they offer the agreed amount, £40 mil then we have to sell him back to them for that amount even though he could be worth £80 mil. I hope it doesn't mean if he is a star and really cutting it then they have only to offer £40 mil even though he could be worth £80 mil and he would have to leave even if he didn't want to.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

yep De Paul saga is now sadly over, but I think Bielsa knows what he wants and in fairness if he wanted Orta to get him he would have told him to pay the asking Price, which was in budget. He didnt and has a player for half the money and potentially twice the value in cash but also in his adaptability.

That could be it now and if so what a fantastic transfer window. 3 full Internationals and youth International due to step up into the full French team. We also brought in another 5 youth Internationals which all looks good for the future. He still has £20m in his pocket will he try again for Kerk who scored another at the weekend, or Cantwell to give more wing play but also even more creativity in the middle, Dan James ......

Biggest news today however is that Macclesfield Town have gone forever. There is no way back after being wound up last week but yesterday were expelled from the National League too. I heard a local reporter and fan in tears today say that she had been a fan since she was 5: had volunteered to do every role at the club over the years from digging goalposts to ticket office, turnstile to press officer. All the fans knew each other and the players knew all the fans. She said some fans today are moaning about not signing a player whilst nobody even thought about us

What if he doesn't want to go back, could we then sell him to another club ? Obviously I'm hoping he'll stay with us and win multiple Champions League medals but you know what I mean.

I see the new 3rd kit has been officially announced. Is maroon far enough away from red, or is it still just a shade of red ?

First refusal clause is time limited usually and means that when the player is put up for sale he club with first refusal rights is contacted to see if they want to take up the option. If time limited then it could have expired, but if not they get first refusal. However the player would need to agree to it and could refuse their offer.

    anyway heres the third kit

Well it’s become very clear that Bielsa is not just looking for survival in PL and making the numbers up, he is looking to be in the mix at seasons end. The big test was Liverpool the first game and Klopp was thankful for the final whistle, we opened Fulham up with ease but was sloppy at the back, the main reason for that I believe was we were unsettled at the back, Sheffield U was totally different we created chances, had most possession just like we had at Anfield. All this is signs of us starting to gel, Koch is much better than White, Rodrigo will settle and be a force with Bamford, but to pinch the Bayern player Cuisance shows the ambition of Leeds and the back room staff, I am stating we could be in top 6 by the end of the season, Man City will be a big test this Saturday and if we get anything out of it shall be a bonus at this early stage of the season but when all the new players are up to speed then watch out.

That kit looks like maroon camouflage? Where the fck in the world would maroon camouflage be beneficial?... trying to go incognito in west ham’s dressing room? Bizarre.

I'm torn on the third kit. I actually think it's one of the most attractive kits we've had. If I saw it on another team I'd be jealous, it just doesn't feel very "Leeds". I went to watch Emley AFC last night who play in maroon, if this was their shirt I'd buy it.

The third kit publicity shots on the lufc website are bizarre to say the least. Cooper wearing a watch whilst Pablo looks like he is enjoying a blow job and all whilst sitting in a leather armchair. Very odd.

Remember going to Macclesfield for this game. We had only just come out of administration and had hardly any players. From bbc sport...

    Macclesfield 0-1 Leeds
Leeds were made to work hard before booking a place in the second round of the Carling Cup with a narrow win at League Two side Macclesfield.
The Cheshire side created the better chances in the first half but Leeds took control after the break and scored a quality winner in the 78th minute.

Winger David Prutton picked out Ian Westlake to drill home a great volley.

The home side's best chance came when winger Danny Thomas got free only for Casper Ankergren to foil his effort.

Macclesfield: Lee, Regan, Edghill, Dimech, McIntyre, Levi Reid, Murray (Wiles 88), Dunfield, Thomas, Green, Husbands (Evans 11).
Subs Not Used: Brain, Swailes, Jennings.

Leeds: Ankergren, Gardner, Heath, Parker, Lewis, Howson, Prutton (Weston 90), Douglas, Carole (Westlake 46), Kandol, Elliott (Beckford 46).
    Subs Not Used: Marques, Delph.

    Booked: Elliott.

    Goals: Westlake 78.

    Att: 3,422

    Ref: A Penn (W Midlands).

Tenner in on the door. Open terrace behind the goal. It rained 2nd half. Jonathan Douglas wayward shot knocked a fans glasses of his head in the warm up after fan had been slagging Elliot off for not hitting the target whilst warning up. Everybody cheered.

Match was ****, Leeds were ****, pitch was ****. We tried to entertain ourselves by making up songs about posh spice. The harry Kewell one was famous but there were some other gems that night including...

    Posh Spice is a slapper,
    Her Fannny's very smelly,
    And when she's shagging Beckham,
    She thinks of Gary Kelly!

    and..

    Posh spice is a slapper,
    She always cheats at snooker,
    And when she's shagging Beckham,
    She thinks of Mark Viduka!

It will seel a lot will that third shirt. It's something different and people like that. I don't mind it but my favourite is the away shirt and not the home.

Sadly I think you're right, it will sell bucketloads to the young 'uns that have no idea what red means to Leeds. That and the fact they will also buy it as a 'fashion' shirt regardless of the colour. This will then send a message to the money men that Leeds fans will literally buy anything, it's a slippery slope I tell ya !
