Think you 'll find Lennon got booked that match and Shearer didn't - pretty funny really. In fairness from what i recall of the incident (which is sketchy at best) Lennon was already on a yellow card and Shearer did him with the ball and Lennon shoulder barged him. Shearer should have gone down and Lennon would have got a second yellow, instead he thinks "eff this" and just blatantly booted him in the face. Clear red, ban should have followed. Suspect with VAR they'd have both ended up going off though. ps. Modern game is so poor in comparison imho.
