The problem though is that it’s been like this for about two years now. Jose may or may not prove the right manager for us going forward but I’m not sure who would be any better right now? There’s so much dross in this squad that until it’s binned we likely won’t see great football for a while again.
I assume Kane will get minutes today and on Thursday. Massive risk but Jose’s hand will probably be forced.
No fair enough, Lampard seems to whine about everything but I just figured there might be a bit more mutual respect between the two. Although I guess in the heat of the moment of a cagey London Derby, people don’t hold back. I just thought it was funny as well tbh
It's not forced at all. He could have just left him out completely tonight and nobody would've said a word. Should've done the same with Son on Sunday. We've got tons of players, yet we're overplaying a bunch of them already.
Did you not read my post? I already said most of the team was **** that game. Problem though is Dele’s been **** for going on three years but some still like clinging to the fact he was great a few seasons ago as if it bears any worth today.
It’s definitely been going on for far too long but I don’t see a system or style with Spurs under Mourinho, if there was a clear system and then it was just a case of players getting used to it then I would feel more optimistic but every game just seems to be survival mode and hope for mistakes by the other team.
I’m happy to give Jose time, once we’ve got a fully fit first XI that’ll be a better time to judge in my opinion. Hugo Doherty, CB/ Sanchez, Skriniar*, Reguilon Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Ndombele Bale, Kane, Son If we can get a team with those/ most of those playing for a spell then I think it’ll be a better time to really judge Jose and gain an idea if he’s right or not.
