Would rather Gotts went to Huddersfield. At least there he'll be Bielsa-balled lite under Corberan (and having watched their game against Forest they do at least try and play the system).

Much better option for him than playing in the third tier, and a different system, at Dull.

Premier League clubs are meeting & voting today to try to agree a new rule should future seasons be curtailed and are therefore unable to be finished. It's expected to be something along the lines of 66% to 70% of matches will need to have been played otherwise the season in question will be declared null and void.

Another vote on exactly how many matches will need to have been completed will be at a later date. If the minimum number of games required to be played is reached then all positions will become final based on positions at the time of curtailment. Champions will be declared, European places awarded and relegation for the bottom 3 clubs.

    After a quick calculation.

70% of matches = 27 matches (rounding up).

Anyway, let's hope football can continue even through further waves of the virus as it's been a massive source of pleasure and entertainment to milllions all round the world.

Nothing wrong with feeling you need a “better” player in a certain position.

Alioski, I think he is a great squad player, I think he is poor in the LB position and he used to infuriate me with his rolling around and yellow card gesturing but Bielsa has stamped that out. He gives it his all, I’m glad we have him in the squad but I hope he doesn’t start too many games. Nothing personal on him, we just need better and we have better players ahead of him.

If he is picked I’ll always support him and I trust Bielsa but from what I can remember Alioski got some criticism in the early days for going to ground too easy and trying to get players booked, that was at the time deserving criticism.

Kiko has cost us points, I can’t remember too many that he has won us but I can remember plenty he has cost. Again not his fault if he is picked but he isn’t good enough for the PL.

Bamford last season, we would have been promoted before lockdown if he’d played last season like he has started this. He doesn’t miss on purpose I know but we need to score more, we needed better. How great it is that Bamford is going to make it as hard as possible for that “better new signing” to get picked ahead of him, that’s what we need more of, players knowing there are alternatives.

Roberts didn’t win any fans over with his Hull City display and his attitude wasn’t quite right either. It’s no shame if he doesn’t develop any further, maybe he is at his peak, myself and many others want someone better in the starting 11 but as much as I want to see them I trust Bielsa and if he picks Roberts fine.

At the moment nobody begrudges the promotion winning squad getting their chance, there is no real pressure, the plan this season is develop the youngsters, get the new faces up to speed and see who is good enough to make the step up.

I guess it’s how do you define slating a player compared to someone who sees it as fair criticism that the player through no fault of their own simply isn’t good enough.

Unfortunately we are bound to get caught up in it eventually.

Can't see how the season will go ahead if the numbers keep climbing.

League Cup probably the problem atm, the EFL don't test a lot of the players, prem do, so should get less now till the F A CUP.

It should be a prerequisite that all clubs who want to play have a full testing regime in place and use it

It's ramping up here in Dublin, we are on a third level lockdown 5 being the worst level. Over 400 cases overnight, half in Dublin. Now just heard today my mot needs to be tested and myself, son and his mot can't go to work until the test comes back, negative hopefully. :(

Good luck bud! Theres a helluva lot more negative results than positives.

I'll catch it from the young uns school eventually. There are classes being sent home all over the place. None in his school yet but you can't lock an 8 year old in isolation (my wife said anyway) so that my danger.

Wife did an antibody test as part of a scientific trial and she was negative which pretty much means I haven't had it yet.

    Bring on the vaccine.
