Assuming we were to get a fee for him, plus Etheridge's fee plus the wages released from the sales and NML's departure we would have the makings of a decent fund to get in someone who could add onfield value to the squad.
Fair play he's done a job for us, I can't see him getting into the team this year it could be a good transfer for him. If it happens I wish him good luck, always gives his all.
Very mixed feelings on Pats going if it happens. Genuinely love his enthusiasm and energy he displays, and comes across as an absolute gem of a bloke. Problem is, I do believe the team has/is outgrowing his abilities and as many of you have said, he'll be on limited game time. Sorry to see him go but would totally understand it too if it's true.
Agree with the theory. My issue with that scenario is the division it can create in the squad when there is an outlier in terms of salary. It could do more garm than good. Saying that, we had bellamy.......
Looks like Pato on his way to the Wendies. Not clear if a loan or for money. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
Do we detect a slight internal spat over the way the Paterson transfer was portrayed to the media and fans? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport.../truth-callum-patersons-cardiff-city-19007331
Either way he needs to move on for his own good and if we get £500k so much the better. Good luck to Pato. Could never fault his effort and attitude if a little limited on the sklls front.
Right then one out means one in so let’s hope it’s someone better than the departed Paterson - there’s no point getting shot of a player if he’s either not replaced or is replaced by someone less effective (that is unless one of the development squad is earmarked to step up?) BTW Calum gave us some good moments and laughs but IMO was at a disadvantage as he didn’t have a settled position on the field.
Well Glen has been busy and come up with this selection. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...ws/cardiff-city-transfer-news-latest-19011767 I think he needs to go back to the drawing board.
Nin says Victor Cowabunga would be a good signing, as would victor meldrew. At least with the latter, we'd know about turned down penalty claims. No penalty? I don't believe it.
This is what Paul Abbandonato (yes I double checked ) said Ok that’s good but what about another right back to cover & a creative CM?
Maybe the one's for the future will find the future comes sooner than later. Whether they are up to it is another thing.....
