@Billy the Priest @St Badger @StJabbo1 come on now <hug><hug> There is enough crap in the world without 3 good guys like you arguing.

We can all agree to disagree sometimes. Be boring if we all thought the same :)

The Govester's 7000 truck queue: at 15 metres road space the line will be 105km ( 68miles ) long. A queue from the Channel Tunnel to Westminster. The French douanier would need to process a truck every 24 seconds to clear the backlog in 48 hours. Well within the capability of the disinterested guy who waves me through at the tunnel. Until he goes to lunch of course.

Stop press: Boris back in the old Krankenhaus...nothing trivial I hope! This on LBC just before 9 but not been repeated so maybe a hoax.

For what it’s worth I haven’t argued with anyone.
    Don’t believe everything you read.

What is "Project Fear?" That the economy will crash if a deal is not reached with the EU, or if we believe what Conservative Central Office sends out regarding the "threat" that Labour presents regarding the economy and relationship with the EU? I think I know which "Project Fear" is more likely.

Boris Johnson likes to think he is a modern day Winston Churchill but what if Churchill had been as incompetent as this fool.

Old people would have been left buried alive under the rubble of bombed out buildings.
People were told to black out their homes, then not to, then to black them out again then to only do so if they wanted to.
Only half the population would have received their ration books.
The Spitfire would not have flown as it would have had a major engine fault and the landing gear didn't work.
The bouncing bomb would have been too heavy for the planes to take off.
The Mulberry Harbour would have been towed across the channel but found not to fit as all of the bolts were missing as someone forgot to bring them.
All the little ships of Dunkirk were chased back to France by English fascists on jet skis thinking they were asylum seekers.
Johnson's Operation Overlord would have gone from Dover and would have been destroyed mid channel.
The Bevin boys would have arrived at the coalmines only to find they had no helmets, pick axes or shovels.
The night time bombing raids over Germany would have failed as there were teething problems with the world beating radar guidance system.
The Pipeline under the Ocean meant to supply fuel to the allies didn't work as the pumps weren't powerful enough.
Rommel defeated the 8th Army as they didn't have any boots.
I could go on but that is just a few.

When he was finally criticised for the ****ing mess he had made of it all he blamed it on the young women in the Land Army.

Actually Churchill was pretty ****ing useless as anything other than a figurehead. The war years apart, he failed at everything he touched; and during the war, military commanders dreaded his interference and did their best to ignore him.

Please don't post things like this. They bring me close to despairing of the shear stupidity of the British people. Talk about turkeys voting for Christmas FFS.

I just find it interesting how quickly 'project fear' appears to be coming true.

Literally everything people shrugged off as project fear seems to be happening

It's almost as if all those economists know things about the economy, rather than being a secret cabal of Labour propagandists. Who knew.

We have developed an incredible resource to allow us to access all the knowledge of thousands of years of human ingenuity, and we have used it instead to get our news via memes reposted by your cousin's sister-in-law, a part-time reiki practitioner with a high school education.
