As Holt cant make the starting line-up or even get off the subs bench, any chance we can have him on loan?

How pathetic that you would come here on the day we play one of the toughest teams on earth while your colu wasters were playing some other worthless pub team and take a pop at a premier league striker.

Holt will get his chance no doubt, now **** off.

I hardly think grant holt, a premier league striker who has scored against Chelsea at Stamford bridge, would join a team I've always struggled to justify existence for...

Beefy, As you said, you played one of the toughest teams on earth, who were without both first choice central defenders, who played a winger at fullback, and Holt was left on the bench, why?.
My original question was tongue in cheek, you replied with your usual display of bitterness, FFS grow up.

Tongue in cheek? You where just trying to be clever and you failed. Come back when the team you support has any relevance. Holt didn't play today because lambert didn't want him too, say what you like about the Manu squad there under 8s could beat Colchester.

oooooh, whos got his knickers in a twist. Simple question, how many games has Holt started this season?.
"Holt did'nt play because Lambert did'nt want him too", if i were a City supporter, i would want to know why.
By the way Beefs, Mark Yeates scored for Colchester at Stamford Bridge, did'nt make him a premier division striker,if my dog crapped on the lawn at Buckingham Palace would it make him a pedigree?.

Moarch, without wanting to get dragged into a load of nonsense here, I would point out that we we're also playing a right back at center back, and the feeling with Valencia is that he may well end up playing as a right back.

Anyway, Holt. The reason he didn't play yesterday was the combination of the system that Lambert wanted to deploy, essentially one up top with Hoolahan off the central striker. The reason that striker was Morison and not Holt is simply Morison's form. The reason Jackson came on in the econd half and not Holt is because he would bring pace.
    It's really very simple.

Well done Exile, you've explained it, and as you say simple.
Now before Beefy leaps all over me, Yeates did'nt score at Stamford Bridge, he hit the post, which explains why he was'nt a premier league player.
Good performance from you yesterday, good set up and with a better final ball 3 points were there for the taking.
Really impressed by the way Tierney has settled into the Prem.

your a snake monarch, you always have been. As semonstrated above you original question wasn't "why isn't holt starting", to which exile has excellently responded, it was "herher Holts ****, can we ave him cos we're **** too herher" if you come on this board and slag off a legend like grant holt in a backhanded, sly way like that you can expect hostility from me.

Short answer to your original question, Grant Holt is more gifted a player than you will ever see at The Colchester Arms FC. So no, a loan deal is not ammicable to both parties.

To be fair to Monarch his OP seemed to read as , we have young fresh talent in attack so if Holt was surplus to requirements he would love to have him on loan at Colchester..........
Lambert found a great balance with Morison op front, Wessi floating off him two proper wingers and Martin at CB ......We won against Bolton so he left the same 11 for the next 2...
Holt still has a part to play this season but will not be picked on his past achievements alone...:emoticon-0114-dull:
And your dog didn t poo at Buckingham palace, she has a massive wall around her house for people like you and your mutt .<doh>

Lambert is playing a very clever game as usual. Holt will be back and better than ever there's a statement for you.

And don't be sucked in by monarch, he as a proper pleb in my personal experience and with comments like "can't even get off the bench" he's just trying to have a dig at a man that contributed in setting their club back 10 years at least.

Jeez Beefy, talk about an over-reaction, sort it out mate <ok>. As far as i can see Monarch was merely having a bit of harmless, tongue in cheek banter, nothing offensive or anywhere near warranting your reaction so I'd suggest chilling out a bit man.

Regarding Holt I personally am amazed that he didn't feature at some point if he's fully fit, absolutely flabbergasted. I understood bringing on Jacko but bringing on Chrissy Martin ahead of Grant made no sense to me at all - if only to give him five minutes on the pitch at Old Trafford to tell his Grandkids about one day.

Ah well, I'm sure Lambo knows what he's doing and I'm taking absolutely nothing away from our fantastic performance yesterday at all when we finally showed everyone that we sure as hell ain't here to make up the numbers.

There's history Sid, old school 606 history. Monarch is a very seedy old man in my experience that can't let the past go. But I can assure you I am extremely chilled in a magnificently warm Norfolk back garden.
