Me too, or ten years. Actually I have the patient info, and it says ten years. I wouldn’t worry. Apparently there are lots of different strains of pneumonia - and vaccinations are not identical - the one you pay for has a few less strains covered than the NHS one, but also some different ones. I was told to get the NHS one as well when I was eligible to get broadest cover.

Flu is annual. As will be COVID vaccine eventually, I think.

    How was dinner?

i was kinda hoping for more than ten years. We're getting a new dog and I don't really want to get into a race.

Dinner was fine. Sri Lankan. Street food, but you get to sit down.

Work paid for my flu jab and even had a nurse come in and do it
If you wanted one at the GPS you didn't even have to get out of the car
Book an appointment and they would do you in the car park
Doctors visits were down 70 % during lockdown
    Mild flu season this year

After saying this on March 12th, I retracted it ( half heartedly ) but now believe it to be true. Put down your mask's and get on with your life. You are being scammed!

You may say , it is an opinion, that our reaction is over the top...but does it exist, definitely yes. There is enough proof in the world, and on this board.

Yes some people will get it mild, I believe members of your family have, others not so people on here have close members who were and still are very ill.
    The virus exists

Maybe it’s possible to believe the virus exists but is far less problematic than its being made out to be.

There are those however, that say the virus has never been isolated and therefore hasn’t been proven to exist.

Your first paragraph is perfectly plausible, the 2nd paragraph isn't imo.

Tell that to all the families of NHS staff that have died, if it's a hoax it's a deadly one...

It may exist, but it's in no way as volatile as we're lead to believe. I know a lot of people, and no one has been ill with this virus, let alone died from it. In fact, who has died from it? No politicians, no famous people or sports stars. If this virus was so virulent you would expect at least one prominent person to succumb to it. Also, in a freedom of information request, no serving police officers have died due to the virus. What with them working in close proximity to not only each other but also with the wider public you would expect them to be vulnerable to the virus.

Also, note how they have changed the name. At first it was coronavirus, then it was COVID 19 now they don't call it that anymore. The reason I believe is that Covid 19 would give it a defined period of existence. Reverting to coronavirus allows it to be open-ended and has no time definition.

About a month ago, there was a day when no-one died from the virus in England. You would have thought that this would be a momentous moment but not a dickie bird from the media. Why? Despite the mainstream media constantly bombarding us with death figures on a daily basis they suddenly go quiet and start reporting on cases. No death figures anymore.

Face coverings - If they work, why was there a lockdown? If they don't work, why are we made to wear them? Not so long ago we could go to do our shopping without them. During this period, the number of cases fell and fewer people were dying. Despite this, the draconian measure of compulsory wearing of face masks was introduced. So once again if face masks work why did they introduce the rule of six?

I could go on with so many more hypocrisies relating to this scam, but I'll leave it there for now.

As ever its very hard what believe because unlike say the Brexit argument here every side sounds perfectly reasonable and oftened backed up by relevant and genuine experts.

I do wonder if we had never had any mention of this virus in the media would people have ever noticed? Obviously you have folk like Steels poor Mrs suffering with LongCovid but would those dots have been joined if the public at large didn't know about the virus? Are there enough people in a similar position for it to become noticeable to the wider public without foreknowledge of the pandemic?

Although I myself am a natural born worrier I do live in an area of the country not significantly affected by the outbreak hence my above musing.

We'll never know but because the government has been so incompetent in handling every aspect of the virus doesn't mean it isn't a threat. The current surge in cases was entirely predictable based on lifting restrictions and the pig-headed stupidity of many who don't give a sh*t.

What has been established is there are different strains of it in different areas. Perhaps it's the randomness of symptoms and severity that fuels the cynicism of many but as one who has lost friends and seen another severely affected it's real to me...

You make a really good and thought-provoking point regarding the media Frome. Before the days of mobile devices when I went abroad on holiday, I wouldn't buy a paper or watch any news. Thinking back, it was a fortnight of isolated bliss.

I'm sorry but I wasn't aware of Steels wife's illness.

So do you think this is a massive cock up, due to ignorance and incompetence, or a sinister plot by a secret cabal of the Uber rich? Because it’s obviously not a plot by our official government, their egos are too big to allow them to be happy to be shown up to be witless fools on a daily basis if they can avoid it.

Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals, died of the virus. Famous enough for you? Overall you are right though. It’s old, fat and ill people being hurried on by the virus, not famous ones, or people that have not been treated for other conditions because of the ‘protection’ of the NHS, people that only their families and friends will miss.

Do you not believe that there have been 60,000 more deaths this year than the average of the last five years?

Toots died of natural causes apparently. The media did try to attribute his death to COVID, although this hasn't been substantiated. Is Toots the most famous person we can attribute to this? I doubt that many people under the age of forty would have even heard of him.

I really don't know mate. Your first sentence is probably the most likely reason, although Hancock does come across as a very sinister person.
