The West Ham game was meaningless stupid decision playing Smallwood and Wilks

Probably similar reasons as to why we didn't change our formation ... the stubbornness and stupidity of our manager/coaching staff

very true but getting out of this league is the priority, it's the managers decision. Sometimes you try to get a balance and gamble but on this occasion it hasn't paid off.

I'm no massive Dan Batty fan, but he can consider himself extremely unfortunate to not start today, he's started the season brightly. No issues about Alfie coming in, I think most the fanbase has been extremely impressed with him so far .

Back to Batty, from Grant's year or so in charge, it's pretty clear he's not a huge Batty fan but with another midfielder coming in, Dan must be wondering whether it's worth looking for a move.

Batty on his day is a battler and I quite like him, the only thing going against him I feel is with Smallwood out leaving Docherty and Honeyman then adding Batty would make it a very small midfield. That's all I can think of in his thinking.

    Google BBC SOUNDS
Sign up and search for BBC Radio Northampton.
You can listen to the game in full, albeit from their point of view.
Better than nowt and better than giving the 2 ****s money.

Actually scrub that - Not Online <doh>

My exact thoughts today. Even when parts of the country are locked up I cannot even listen to my football team play a game. Things need to change when £50m is spent on a Premier League player, he's paid £250k/week and clubs in the lower leagues will be folding because there is no income for them.

Don't see the attraction of playing in a big stadium (if it's empty of supporters). Would rather play at a full Queensgate.

He's a couple of weeks away from full fitness, as he's had no pre-season. Used the cup to get him a few more mins but can't give him too many or you're risking an injury
