Nice to see you about Garry, and yes we do know who you are. Can I take issue with you on one specific point, that is in direct contradiction with the commentary. Rene Gilmartin received a whole lot of praise for the way that he performed, so much so that I was left thinking that we will not be seeing Loach for sometime. McGinn believed that without him we would have shipped even more goals.
See i dont think we were poor in Tuesday. I think we bossed large periods of the game and were unlucky not to win by more.
Yes, we bossed a very poor Team. But it took fullback to score and then Millwall collapsed. Where is the quality and creativity?
Reckon its more down to a lack of pace..and the star striker being uninterested. I didn't think we were too bad on Tuesday but must admit hardly looked like scoring until we did.
Desperately trying not to be a total doom merchant. But after the journey from hell to get to today's game I am feeling pretty fed up. One the bright side we competed with the league leaders for 20 minutes, and but for a dodgy pen we might have carried on competing for a bit longer. But can anyone honestly say that Forsyth, Yeates, Garner and Big Chris are up to the job? Agree about our star striker, another stinker. It was definately a bad day at the office, but are there better things to come?
Went to the game. Met some spiffing 'orns. Lots of fledglings ('ornets nest - get it; ). Had a great time despite the result. Shame about the lack of cake. Funniest comment of the day came from my spanish wife at her first english game "So Watford are a sort of Atletico Madrid? " 'Well yeah sort of' The saints fans were fun at the game and on the train home. Good luck guys for the season. You showed some class today. Just one gripe about St Marys - The cornish pasty at half time must have been heated in a nuclear reactor. Couldn't get near it until almost the end of the game. My Watford man of the match - Rene followed by Lloydinjo Hope to meet all the 'orns again sometime soon. We enjoyed your company ps: No Norway that definately was not hand ball and hornette many thanks for sorting the tickets
It was not that he was great but I couldn't blame him for any of the goals, he made some good saves, and no one else stood out for me. So yup fairly sure.
I hate to say it but I think it might be Eustace's arm stretching back. Lambert has his around Mirfin's neck (which might be a foul itself)
So we all thought it was a handball by Lambert - But no it was Eustaces arm but Lambert is fouling him!
Or fouling Mirfin should I say. Not sure how the ref made that decision considering it happened so quickly!
I must say, it does not get clearer if you zoom in. There are 4 arms (3+1hand) and it could be any of them. I think it might be Lambert, but that might just be to soften the blow.
