It's what Spurs will expect us to do, but even if we attack as Spurly said In the second half they can conceivably score 4 or 5. They've got a cracking attack. So much for "Jose plays **** defensive football" What I'm saying is, I can't see a way we line up and win this match. It's gonna take a lucky fluke.
They had one poor game against Everton, I think you're really underestimating them. They decimated Saints despite going behind first.
Well I'm going to suggest we can win.. Im waiting to see our line up to make that my final prediction.. I just have feeling we might get something
Newcastle 0 - 3 Brighton. Soton 1 - 5 Spurs. Not606ers - “I can see us getting a win”. **** me, hope springs eternal.
When it's me though. I never predict anything but a loss I'm telling you now we're going to do well...
It's the type of game we win Likewise if we'd been on a good run and Spurs had been getting pumped every week they'd be nailed on to beat us
Not having a go at Bruce, but I've just watched the pre match presser and once again I couldn't help noticing how much he purs over the opposition.. In this particular one he talks about the top 6 having great players and that's why he loves the premier league. I would think it more beneficial to talk about how good we are and what we can do.. It just doesn't sit right with me. I get you can compliment your opponent, but it's OTT with Bruce imo.. He should be telling the player and the media know this is newcastle united and the instructions are win whoever we play... OK that might seem unrealistic, but if that's not the message then its not a good one.
Yeah, he'll never change. Excuses are always out before the match (they're too good), then re-appear after the match (we're ****).
Basically instead of telling the players.. Its going to be difficult he should be saying we're going to do this and those ****ers have a weak spot there that we are going to exploit. He doesn't have to install fear of the opposition nor does he have to give them an inferiority complex before they step on the pitch... FFS make them feel bigger than they're and send them out to war.
Back training.. Had a tough life event about a month ago knocked me for 6. Howay the Toon It's happening
After seeing some of the performances and attempts at winning games by teams around us this last week or so I honestly think we are ****ed. We don’t have the players with the appetite to even try and win games. Teams are having a go at the so called top teams and yes they may be losing or drawing but at least they are having a damn good go. We will sit back and **** about trying to scrap a draw tomorrow and once we do go down a goal will revert to plan yada and then go to ****.
Couldn't agree more.. All the sides play good football expect us... Im not even joking either.. They're all playing in triangles nice passing game going on. I'm delighted someone else has noticed tbh mate
I’ve watched most of the games that have been streamed: even though some teams have come undone against the better ones they have played some nice football. everyone has said for months if not the last year or two we needed a striker that can score goals but I’ve always said we need a cm or two more to actually get a foothold in the game and create some chances. I know Joelinton gets a lot of stick but **** me he feeds off scraps.
@Geordieginola It's just such a dim whitted approach to simply look at the fact we don't score goals and jump straight to the conclusion that replacing a striker is whats required to fix it.. The problem is so much deeper than that... Two proper cms are required, some bloody good coaches and a manager more importantly.
