Pretty close mate, bang on with Norwich score - we actually beat Pompey 2-0 (courtesy of the Chris Elton bible and not my old memory).

The clip also reminded me just how much you used to know Elliot would score every one on one, it was never in doubt.

Crowds for the 3 games 89,922. I game 4,000+over what the KC holds, another 10,000 over.
2 games in 5 days eachwith more than for any rugby league game in Hull. Yes, always been a RL Town.

Yes, but as one illustrious RH commentator asked "What does he offer other than goals?". To which the answer was "Who cares?".

The Allams are most likely # 2 in the "deep" yo-yo" impersonators hall of fame.

Did he mine you before he remined you? The man in question would have pounced on that.<laugh>

I'm sure the cobblers scored 1st. Silly thing to do.

Four consecutive home games that season:
    5-0 v Norwich (Sept20) Att: 24,871
    6-1 v Cobblers (Sept 23) Att: 29,122
    2-0 v Pompey ( Sept 28) Att: 35,929
    3-1 v Wolves (Oct 15) Att: 32,522

Waggy scored 4 away @ Cardiff (Oct 8) in the middle of that run and we lost 5-4 @ Ipswich on 22 Oct.
We bounced fron 5th to 1st to 2nd over that month.

    Hell of a ride.

Remember that one as I went to it with a plaster cast on me leg after a motorbike accident broke my Tib & Fib a few weeks earlier. Ended up sat in the home section to the left as our Small away end was rammed.

I remember leaving the ground as the announcer said " Ladies and gentlemen, Hull City are now top of Division 2". After the Cobblers game? Meanwhile, a picture of the Pompey game in front of a home crowd that none of the younger ones or those who started going after the 1960s will ever see unfortunately.

Like that team my only concern is a lack of height in midfield, think when they see us they won't be able to stop laughing but then we will maul um

That photo was probably taken by Jack Davies, the HDM City photographer. My sister's best friend at the time was Jack's daughter - lived on Beverley Rd in Hessle. Had a few chats with him in the early 60's.
