Gem of the Norfolk coast. Bar none!
So, off to the south coast for a re-arranged kick off due to the hosts involvement in the EFL cup tomorrow, away to Manchester City.
After 8 years in charge, Eddie Howe fell on his sword having overseen relegation last season.
All change on the pitch, too with the departures of Harry Arter, Jordan Ibe, Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson.
Both teams sit on 4 points, with an identical GD - so a close contest appears likely.
More as we get it.........

Weird how Cherries were in the top flight for years , Howe was touted for Arsenal and England coach one bad season and they collapse.
What did they do with all the TV money ?

Wages and transfer fees. They didn't even manage to upgrade their training facilities. That's on hold at the moment.

From what I've read from Bournemouth fans, that's been their biggest gripe now they're relegated. They have a wealthy backer and had Premier League funds, but after several years they've come back down playing in the same 11,000 capacity stadium, with a training ground split over two sites with sub-par facilities. Nothing they achieved in their Premier League stint was sustainable, they're still heavily reliant on their owner, with no improvements in how they can make money from other revenue streams (gates, academy, etc).

Deja Vu all over again.

McCallum, Sitti, Sinani out on loan, now Dowell injured. The excitement of summer signings is fading like my hopes of last season. We still have plenty of good players and good options at No. 10.
 
My Ipswich mate who was a contractor on the Colney Refurbishment, buried tractor parts and Ipswich scarves all over the site. Hence all the injuries. Must be true.

Bournemouth, relegated to the Championship at the end of last season, gave a good account of themselves (vs Manchester City in the EFL cup last night) and could have perhaps taken the lead before Foden struck if Surridge had shot sooner when through on goal.

But this performance against a side that has won the competition for the last three seasons in a row will give them heart as they look to mount a challenge for an immediate return to the top flight.
