Apparently signed a new 3 year deal according to across the road. Been on safc website and could see nothing. Hopefully true and good news, 3 years is a long contract from the current owners. Is someone else negotiating contracts now

Decent fee for him hopefully then when he’s sold. Since that tosspot Parkinson isn’t going to give him a chance.

Echo also reporting Leeds and Wolves have made bids for him.

Giaranteed if that’s the case he won’t be here in 2 weeks

There were clubs sniffing round in the summer for him so presume there would still be interest in him. Hope the contract news is true though, keeping hold of talented youngsters and developing them into first team players has to be a major part of our working practices.

Hopefully some of these youngsters are realising that if they’re good enough there’s a great chance of breaking into this team in the next couple of years instead of doing it elsewhere. Stay at your home town club who you support. No brainer if it was me

... Except that he hasn't even been on the bench for our first two games. Why would any young player ever want to stay here when they're given even less opportunities than they'd probably be given in the Prem?

Might be cause they can see a change that is happening at the top With the club being sold and realising that the manager that isn’t putting them on the Bench atm will probably not be here when the club is sold.

Hope you are right, but assuming and witnessing are two different things, and I don't see much evidence of promotion from within at SAFC. just yet.

And you could see why pre-season, at least some could, but not Parky evidently, judging by his actions, or is there more to it than we know, I hope not.

I wasn't expecting to see any of the young uns' in the first few match day squads tbh. Got enough seniors for numbers and we're early doors so no fatigue issues yet but I'll be massively disappointed if say 15 games in they've only had about 20 mins each.

I’d be off like a shot if I was him. Disgraceful that he can’t even make the bench over the likes of Conor McLaughlin ffs. Says everything you need to know about that dinosaur of a manager.
