Such a tricky race this year, can't have Sarafina considering she only just beat Hiruno D'armour when everything was in Sarafinas favour and the odds are 4/1 and 16/1. Masked Marvel is such a interesting runner though as Gosden wouldn't supplement him for nothing, he took Nathaniel out the Leger bunged in MM and surprise surprise MM won it. Also great write up cyc i agree WF and SYT have the best two pieces of form in the race and i think people are writing WF off, and even now though i wouldn't be surprised to see a shock from SNA, has everything in his favour and will be staying on all the time but J O'brien puts me off him, if someone like spencer was onboard i'd be eating into that 33/1. Probably turn out to be the weirdest race ever and Silver Pond will end up winning lol

For anyone interested it is possible to back So You Think at 11/2 with William Hill and lay on Betfair at just over 5/1 (6.2). Nice arbitrage opportunity.

Zenyatta, I think that's a pretty good summary, although I do feel that Workforce has much the same chance as SYT- though I do slightly prefer SYT.
The only thing I should add is that Galikova could be "the improver" in the field.
I agree that she doesn't look good enough on the book, and it normally takes a better filly to win this race.
However, I don't think this running-or last year's race are top notch; the form lines don't stand out. Hence she may be a live contender.
    Nonetheless, I feel it's a very open contest-and a shock result wouldn't surprise me.

Did anyone catch any of the French racing today?

Any thoughts on the ground? Quickish or just usual good Frewnch ground?

Have backed sarafina at 5s which I think is a big price for her! Draw not too much of a worry becuz she will be dropped in and she has the class and turn of foot for the finish!

Toppy, Frankie said it was" Good, English Good"

I have backed So You Think with my free £500 bet. Best form, best horse and I think they will run to suit him. Shame he is so high in draw but he is possibly a cut above this lot.

Good luck Nass, can't be SYT for me unfortunately, just don't think he has the turn of foot! More of a grinder... Sarafina will need luck in running n I can c 1 possibly coming out (reliable man) but we will c! But she will be dropped in and has the turn of foot u win... Mike's wif me 2...

See I think SYT does have a relentless gallop and I can see it being set up perfectly for him. He goes for home 2 out and they just don't reel him in. I think Workforce will run a big race and for me he is the main danger as I think he is a similar type of horse. I just have come to the conclusion that we have yet to see the best of So You Think and the Arc is the perfect race for us to see him at his best.

Only 2 horses can win this for me ...If SYT stays he has a fantastic chance...his form is rock solid....however the supplement of MM is intrigueing as it suggests he is in good enough nick to perform somewhere near his best. I would probably side with the latter as I believe there is no reason to risk the reputation of the horse, connections, or trainer running him if he is a spent force. MM big chance in true run race. I can't split them really...there is nothing else with good enough form and some with form that just doesn't stack up.....not the best Arc by a long way....

So You Think won't be winning from that draw, neither will Sarafina. It's a 3 horse race for me, between Galikova, Hiruno D'Amour and DaneDream. Workforce could get into it, but it will all depend on Ryan Moore, he must get to the rail, like he did last year from 8. Il only be having one bet though, and that will be Hiruno D'Amour in stall 1

Interesting comments from the Ballydoyle team suggesting that the larger field will help out SYT enormously. They feel he has been forced to do a lot of his own donkey work this season. I think this is true to a certain extent. Their argument is that the larger field will enable him to be covered up for longer before being unleashed. He does have a turn off foot too. He comfortably took a couple of lengths out of the Prince Of Wales' field when he quickened and went from a length down to a 1/2 length up against Workforce inside the last furlong.

I think i'm going to chuck a few quid at SNA at a big price too. I think he's too big a price. But SYT for me. Can't wait for the race now. I just hope that everything gets a chance and there are no hard luck stories.
