Bit suprised with the score but sounds like we just didn't turn up today. However im not too bothered if we can continue picking up points against the lesser teams.
Watford were lucky to get Nil. Cliché maybe, but very true today. Apart from the first 15 minutes, it looked like a Prem League side against a non-league side, the gap was enormous. Don't let the penalties fool you, Saints could have had EIGHT easily.
From the middle of the first half onwards I believe you. But until the neutral referee awarded Saints a penalty for a Ricky Lambert handball, it sounded to me like there was only one team in it.
That may be true CBK, but we could have had 3/4 also. You keeper made at least 2 great saves and we put a couple of clear chances wide. Whilst i dont say we should have won, i am saying the result would have been very different if we had taken our chances.
That's a pile of cack! Southampton were gifted a goal by the ref which set us back a bit but they weren't as good as a 4-0 scoreline hints at. They were as good as us at finding the net for most of the game and we weren't as impressed as we thought we might have been. By the way, Norway is still relatively sober and definitely we both wanted to kill the ref!
They were both 100% nailed on penalties. Not Saints or the refs fault your defenders were clueless. Ok, I'll give you one goal for the good Davis save. Happy now? 4-1 then (ignoring the two efforts by Saints against the woodwork)
That depends who you listen to. The story from the Watford staff is that it came off Lamberts shoulder. I will watch the highlights closely and see.
I didn't say it did. But it does not constitute a penalty either! If the ref thought it was a nailed on pen then why hesitate in giving it.
Just come back from the game. Happy that we not only beat our recent bogie side but also put four past them! 4 nil however was not a fair reflection on the game. Didn't we think played anywhere near as well as the result suggests. However, the outcome was exactly what we needed to get things back on track!
