My thoughts on the Wolves game - We were lucky but...

We were lucky that decisions went our way, but for most of the game, we totally dominated, and i believe we deserved to win the game.

I think if we had lost 3-2 it would have been a result that didn't speak for the game.

For 25 minutes of that 2nd half we were ****ing all over the place.

My ratings -

Krul - 9 - Kept us in the game

Simmo - 7 - Great first half, shakey 2nd half.

Taylor - 7 - Made some excellent blocks but he almost gave away a penalty and ****ed us over at times.

Colo - 7.5 - Good performance, apart from that one stutter.

Raylor - 6.5 - Not bad, but not that great either.

Obertan - 6 - Made some good runs, and opened them up, but his final balls were ****ing terrible, and put us under unnecessary pressure with stupid flick passes and fowls.

Cabaye - 7 - Got an assist for Ba, a bit quiet at times, but some great passing again.

Tiote - 8 - Great performance apart from a few shakey spots.

Jonas - 7.5 - Some great runs, good attacking and fantastic goal.

Ba - 7 - Good goal, decent performance.

Best - 7 - Other people criticized him, but he could have got two assists today, and made some great passes.

Lover - 0 - ****

Guthrie - N/A

Overall - Lucky but if Wolves had won that they wouldn't have deserved it at all IMO.

I hope Pardew discusses what the **** we were doing for the last 20-25 minutes.

They had something like 25 shots to our 8. They deserved to win IMO, but I don't care. Three points is three points and we got no luck last year with ref decisions.

 

They didn't deserve to win. They had 25 shots but most were well wide. We dominated possession for most of the game, and played most of the good football.

They were robbed but didn't deserve to win.

 

as much as i love tiote he keeps getting caught on the ball and eventually its guna cost us a goal
having said that he was flawless in every other department

 

Didn't think Tiote was all that great today.

 

He doesn't do it very often though, and he obviously will get caught eventually because he's a holding mid. No holding mid in the world never gets dispossessed.

He didn't make enough mistakes for us to worry about IMO. He made a couple but he wasn't the only one.

 

I think a draw would have been fair.


Krul - 9.5 - MOM

Raylor - 6 - i think he needs to replaced asap

Obertan - 7 - needs to better his final ball, and stop the ****ty flicks etc

Jonas - 7.5 - fantastic goal.

Ba - 7 - good goal, getting better, i think goals will keep coming

Best - 8 - i think he is underrated, really good game

 

Krul - 9 - He won't perform like that again no matter how good he is

Simmo - 7 - Neat first half and was made to look like a blue square premier player in the second.

Taylor - 6.5 - Had moments but did make a couple mistakes too.

Colo - 7 - Decent all round but will have better.

Raylor - 4 - He was ripped a new one at every opportunity.

Squidward - 5 - Made space a couple of times but lost the ball more times than I cared counting.

Cabaye - 6.5 - The odd good .pass and made a couple of interceptions but will have much better games.

Tiote - 6.5 - Made a few tackles but lost possession a little also.

Jonas - 6.5 - Great goal good runs and "F" all delivery.

Ba - 7 - Good goal good work rate should of had 2.

Best - 7 - Got involved at least.

Lover - 0 - Retire please.

Guthrie - N/A

 

I think we were more CLINICAL than them. E.g.. that solo goal by Guti!

We simply had that spark of magic they didn't and despite having less shots than them, we were less wasteful.

FFS howay that's silly. Raylor didn't do much wrong in that game, he just wasn't that great.

 

Krul - 9 MotM for me, brilliant saves, kept us in it

Simpson - 6 Distinctly average.

Taylor - 7.5 Made some crucial blocks, lost his cool a bit, though

Colo - 7.5 Solid, apart from the mistake in the second half

Raylor - 6 Same as Simpson, nothing special

Obertan - 6 Opened them up a couple of times, still no final delivery though.

Cabaye - 7.5 Good corner to assist Ba, put in a good shift in attack and defence.

Tiote - 8 Returning to his pre-Ramadan form, good defending.

Jonas - 8 Very good, made decent runs, scored an awesome goal and tracked back to help Raylor aswell.

Ba - 7.5 Very active, scored the opener and caused trouble for the defence as well.

Best - 6.5 Quiet for most of the game, seems to be forming a good partnership with Ba.

Lover - N/A

Guthrie - N/A

 

I don't think giving ratings this soon after a game will provide fair ratings. In general, we deserved our lead in the first half but they should have had a peno after a rash challenge from Stevie Taylor. Second half was fine up until Wolves made their subs and they started to dominate. We should have made subs sooner than we did as Ba looked very tired. Subs weren't the best, and we should have stuck an extra body in the middle. Luck was definitely on our side today but who cares! We have got a win from Wolves away!

 

We dominated most of the game, are you ****ing ******ed? First half it was about equal, 2nd half all them. Colo was worse than Taylor, Taylor actually made good blocks. Yeah Taylor nearly gave a pen, but Colo had a massive **** up to nearly gifting them a goal, if it wasn't for Krul.

They had a goal wrongly disallowed and should of gotten a pen, most likely scoring. I think they should of won and we were lucky to win.

Tiote and Cabaye were absolutely bossed in the 2nd half.

 

I'm not ******ed, i just watched the game unlike you who obviously didn't.

We dominated the first half. They had their chances, but we dominated overall in the first half. 2nd half they were slightly the better team, until the last 10 mins when they raped us.

They didn't deserve to win. Did you see most of their 'shots' in the first half? We marginally deserved to win purely based on our first half.

Thought Tiote was the better out of him and Cabaye. Both did alright, not spectacular but alright.

We dominated the first half, but didn't have much of the second half at all. We settled for the lead we had at half time, that was clear.

I've never been a fan of Mick 'the muppet' McCarthey but at least he's conceded that although there were questionable decisions in the match the real reason they lost was poor defending. Its refreshing to hear a manager not just lay all the blame on luck, when the team is also at fault!
