News this morning that the great 'EPL giants' up at NE1 have scoured the globe for a replacement for the recently departed Andy 'I'm a scouser now and happy' Carroll, have announced that Shefki Kuqi, the 34 year old Finnish striker (or finished striker as he shall be henceforth known) has been snapped up to fill the former fire starters shoes. Where was Bruce in all this. Surely when such a much sought after, top class international power house striker was available he should have pounced. Where is our ambition to compete with Europe's best when we could have had him instead of Asamoah Gyan, the 50 times capped goal every 2 games at International level, Ghanaian superstar. Bruce should immediately tender his resignation this morning and take the useless Quinny with him. If neither of them knew that Kuqi was available then they should hang their heads in shame that Alan Partridge has been able to prise such an asset after Swansea booted him out. I think that the non signing has cost us our EPL place this season and relegation is a certainty now. I'm in despair at our lack of imagination and panic buying abilities. I mean, where is our knicker-****ting panic buy at this season? Why have we not got a manager, chairman and owner with such small ambition as Noocarssel? Where is our deceitful and sly owner at when we need him to pocket all the dosh and do a runner, leaving the manager to look around the nations dustbins for players. I demand that Bruce goes out today and signs an equally useless and embarrassing player, so that we can match our poor relations, or in Gods name just go.
Fully agree. If Bruce doesn't buy Bent back for ã51m and double his Villa salary and thus get us back to where we were last season, then he should do the right thing and go.
