The club properly stuck the knife into him yesterday, when they released a video of his replacement taking his vacated shirt number. Rose came across as a proper mug on the Amazon documentary, which can not of done his chances of finding another club any good, but it appears he is being offered to clubs all over Europe. For 2 or 3 seasons he was a really top class LB for us and after 13 years service will always be remembered for that goal against Woolwich, in some ways it is a shame how his time with us has ended after such long service, but he did himself no favours in the last few years. Hopefully he can find a club and we can get some kind of transfer fee for him.
Danny should be given some slack for his later years at the club as he has come out about his mental health problems, but his management team should be taken out and shot for the piss poor handling of him , even though he was going through bad patches at times and his form and fitness dropped he showed he cared
Danny Rose averaged just under 18 games a season over his whole Spurs career (admittedly he has been loaned out a few times) , he had a couple of decent seasons but on the whole he’s been lucky to have been at the club for so long and hopefully his time is over ASAP for both his sake and the club’s sake. Are we sure Leeds don’t want an out of shape 30 year old left back to boost their options?
He's also a Jorge Mendes client, which normally would be a reason to run a mile - but then again so is Matt Doherty, so I guess we have some incriminating polaroids
I haven’t seen it except for screenshots and memes on twitter but didn’t Dele slate the style of play under Mourinho on camera several times?
Weghorst Watch Wahey, another upgraded! VoetbalPrimeur report that we're pushing hard to get him signing, and they claim we'll try and get it done by the end of the week
De Telegraaf also jumping on the story, they’ve often very much been bang on the money whenever they’ve reported stuff about Spurs and Dutch transfers.
Weghorst is playing for Wolfsburg at 5pm. They face Leverkusen. It's on BT Sport 1, if anyone wants to check him out.
Ali Gold reckons we have an option to renew Bale's loan for another year on the same terms if it all works out. He's usually pretty reliable.
Bale's interview with Peter Crouch on BT Sport, in case anyone hadn't seen it. He seems made up to be back and just wants to play and feel some love. The way he talks about Madrid very much sounds like that chapter is over for him. It's still weird to see him in the shirt, it's almost like he's a player from another era - which I suppose he is, even though it wasn't that long ago that he left.
