Honestly this is pathetic. What on earth Jose working on in training? Being outplayed by Southampton and the defending is atrocious.
Bale won't help this. We've had none of the ball. The midfield's been anonymous and dysfunctional. We've got no holding midfielder at all and I don't even know what sort of system we're supposed to be using.

We need a new midfield. The balance is all wrong. We also need to stop picking Dier ahead of everyone else at centre-half.
I thought we started the half well then just let Southampton have way too much of the ball. They’ve been excellent in midfield after the first 10 minutes as well, completely shut us down.
We are simply a poor team. No idea what changed from the end of last season but we have no working defence again. It's like watching us during the end of Pochettino's and the beginning of Jose's reigns. The opposition simply believe they will score whereas we do not.
