What a 24 hours! We’ve strengthened our midfield with a world class player and now we have a very good back up attacker for the front 3. our squad is incredibly strong now. One more centre back and I’d say it’s complete.
Think a lot of us were worried after not strengthening for second summer in a row but credit to klopp and the team. Identified areas wanted to improve and got the deals done for very cheap initial payments. Not expecting huge things for Jota but as cover feel a lot better having him as an option to bring on or start in place of one of current front 3. add in minamino looking more settled and going forward shouldn’t be such a huge drop in quality when one is missing now.
Barcelona banned from signing Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldium EXCLUSIVE: Barca boss Ronald Koeman has made Wijnaldum one of his two priority transfer targets - but his plans to sign the 29-year-old have been thrown into disarray https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...banned-liverpool-georginio-wijnaldum-22709427
Very young talent - got LB - got Kostas CM - got Thiago FW - got Jota CB - to get yet plus improvements from; Keita, Minamino, Jones, Elliott and Williams The squad is evolving
he looked good for a period leading up to the CL final vs Real Madrid....and then he got injured in the semi against Roma and hasn’t been the same since. Like I said, it’s a shame.
Wolves chase second Liverpool signing as Thiago transfer spells bad news for Reds ace https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...ex-Oxlade-Chamberlain-Wolves-Thiago-Alcantara
I agree. After a slow start, he really came into his own on that run-in to the 2018 CL final. I thought he was out MoTM against City in the first leg, and not far off in the second. I thought he was our best player at home against Atletico too (though that's not saying much). But every time he's started since he came back he's been hooked by JK, often with a scowl on his face. I don't know if he's not doing as he's told, but it has to be said that his close control in tight areas is not in the same class as Windy and Fab, and Hendo has improved tenfold in that area too in the last few years. Pity. As you say, he's never quite had that spark since the injury, and we also don't need him as an emergency right-back either. My big hope is that he stays till the next window and is inspired get back to his best. Fingers crossed.

Direct, takes players on and deceptfully strong to hold off challengers to the ball. I know many here are seeing him as a backup, but I'm excited by the signing. A year or two rotating in and out and he could be then stepping into the first XI when we sell one of the three.
