Firstly, I was quite impressed with Crewe, they passed the ball nicely and were a much better team than I expected.

I think we suffered a bit of a hangover from the Leeds game, the players that were involved felt the physical effects and often the game after a really good performance is a bit flat.

Having said that, they found a way to win a game which was looking a 0-0, and the changes Terry made certainly had the desired effect. Though I think Wilk's should have started up the middle from the start.

GM couldn't drop Magennis after his Gills performance. You're only saying that because Wilks scored playing through the middle....

This isn't Football Manager.... Squad has to be managed.

We’ve.got some very good youngsters coming through and I’m sure they’ll get their chance, in fact, I suspect some will have become first choice by the end of this season.

But as far as I’m aware, there’s no obvious striker option at the moment, so we’re going to have to bring someone in.

don't know if this has been mentioned, but the last season we won our two opening league games without conceding was 2004-5, the last time we were in this division.

Wilks can play number 9, that’s the position he has played his entire career until Terry decided to play him as a winger at Doncaster. He looks a far better number 9 than he does a winger. Play him at number 9 and use one of our natural right sided wingers on the right - like Mayer.

100% agree, and as for this bollocks from McCann that we have four forwards that can play/interchange in each position across the front it’s absolute garbage, either that or he enjoys easing square pegs into round holes! From their style of play it’s obvious which one is best playing where.

Wilks has shown that he can play on the wing with some success but he clearly looks better as a centre forward, KLP is somewhat successful playing as an inside forward or winger but due to his clear knack of being able to finish clinically in front of goal his ultimate position must be central striker, Magennis makes a lumbering CF that always looks to have a red card in him, wingers/inside forwards are not usually known for lumbering, and Eaves I’ve yet to be convinced is even a footballer, certainly not one suited to tiers one or two!

This bollocks he’s currently coming out with, for me, just appears to be him toeing the Ehaw line, he even said post match yesterday that Crewe play the same formation as us, 433, which made things a bit more difficult. Why not change it then? If he’s going to use that same formation in every game because Ehaw tells him that’s our footballing philosophy then we’ll quickly get found out. Teams do not get promoted playing one formation throughout a full season. Yes it’s great to be in our current position but I still have no more faith in McCann than I did last season. It’s early days but Jordy and Burke no longer look nailed on as our two first choice centre backs. Has he picked up on that? I have serious doubts.

When quizzed on our options up front,he's hardly likely to say 'Yes it's Wilks all the way,the other 2 are cart-horses and better start wrapping up warm it's gonna be a long winter sitting on the bench'...
