Telford to win it in 90th minute with a diving header from a VERY narrow angle.... JUST wide.

Ryan Lowe will have written one word in his notebook. Canavan.

Wrong to scapegoat and maybe Wimbledon's legs had gone, but we looked so much calmer at the back after he came on.

    4-4...F/T.

    Started the match in 8th place...went to 2nd....dropped to 15th....up to 8th...finished in 6th.

Good recovery... but we have to do some work on that defence.....maybe Canavan coming in might help....and he scored.

Seems to be a lot of unhappy ifollow customers on pasoti....some no pics...some no sound...some no anything.

How did you find it notDistant...sensible....ok or not....at 4-2 down you might of been tempted to turn it off.

    Just watched the video.

1.....Michael Cooper's positioning for the free-kick was a total gift for the scorer....literally three-quarters of the goal undefended....so so easy.

2.....Aimson loses the ball to the scorer....as good as a pass.....worse than Wootton's last week.

Who in the coaching set-up....coaches the defence ?.....does seem to be a lack of leaders on the field.....I think Kelland Watts needs some help.....I'm sure he's getting it ...but it isn't noticeable on the field at times.

Two things to comment on before the whole game itself. First is iFollow. Came in well and there was not one single problem alll the way through. May I suggest that those with problems go on a "how to get iFollow" course before the next game and learn how to use it. Second point was Cooper's positioning at the free kick. The wall was supposed to cover one side of the goal because a keeper cannot cover both. They stood there like statues and didn't even move let alone jump or act like a wall is supposed to. Watch it again Plym.

Right now to the game itself. Well what can you say about that. We were doing very well and then it turned to ****. We then did very well again and in the end we should have won it. The Telford header had goal written all over it and it was harder not to put it in than to miss. Mayor was just a bit unfortunate after some mesmerising dancing about. The Wimbledon defenders were all at sea. If you were a neutral then that was a watch and a half but as a supporter of either side there has to be some disappointment. To try to describe the game would go into double pages with chances and efforts all over the place. Some of the players seemed to come alive at different points in the game. Nouble being a classic example. For 70 minutes he was probably no better than pants. The last 20 minutes he put the fear of god into them and was almost unplayable at times. I think he is going to be loved and hated in equal measure throughout the season. It is difficult to pick on anyone defender wise in particular. They combined to be poor at times which shows in the number of goals conceded. Canavan did steady the ship and is far more composed than some of the others. That is not blaming Wootton for it all either. As said they were as bad as one another and Canavan could only replace one. Think he might start the next game. As a spectacle I thoroughly enjoyed that but was mildly disappointed it wasn't 4 - 5 at the end. Quite how Lowe will describe it I don't know yet. It was not a loss so that must be a plus.

I've watched it quite a few times sensible....I have never seen a goalkeeper stand near enough to literally be able to touch his left hand post....what a massive target that gave the kicker to aim at.....I froze the picture and I doubt anyone could have got their head on that ball.....the kicker didn't have to aim anywhere near the right hand post....a freebie for Wimbledon.

Sorry but I watched it several times when it happened and several times since. The wall is static. They are supposed to defend one side of the goal in a central situation like that. They didn't move one inch. The ball wasn't 5 foot over their heads and had they made an effort they could quite conceivably have got a touch. Where exactly was Cooper supposed to stand then? The kick was in a perfect position for the striker to go either side and just far enough out to be able to dip it. It was an excellent strike as well. Cooper at fault a bit for goal two I can see but not that free kick.

Yes it was a well struck free-kick....but any regular kick taker could loop it over a defensive wall in that position....and to leave roughly 18 foot of goal unprotected is just a freebie for any dead ball kicker......If Cooper was nearer the centre of his goal the kicker would have had to be far more accurate with his shot....there was no pressure at all on the kicker having to be more accurate with his shot....his shot didn't have to be anywhere near the right-hand post....it was just a freebie.

I'm not sure that Ryan Lowe has his goalkeeper strategy correct at the moment....I'm hoping he will prove me wrong.....I do feel he has put his eggs all in one basket with praising Cooper so much....for a keeper he is still very young....and a few cracks have appeared in his game....but he will learn from them.....the problem is that Ruddy is not a recognized back up.....and I feel that McCormick was only brought back as a cheap reserve keeper....so that Lowe could spend money elsewhere in the team. McCormick looked very ordinary when he left Home Park two years back...it looked the right time....too bring him back now is debatable.

For Lowe to say that Cooper will move on one day and bring Argyle a nice pay packet...is unnecessary pressure on a talented young keeper.

I hear that Macy (he got moaned about didn't he down here) is available.....and he has been on the bench for Arsenal recently...and has won a FA Cup medal by keeping the bench warm....who would have thought it.

Sods law struck as well yesterday...Aimson who is now fit was looking the real deal in our defence....and he then tamely gives the ball away and the ball ends up in the net....we have given 12 goals away in our last five matches...some of them very avoidable...thank goodness that we have also scored 12 goals as well....who coaches our defence....Lowe was a forward....whose job is it ?

Really enjoyed yesterday and not too sure why 'other places' are in melt down. If we had gone and got a dull 0-0 draw we would have still 'only' have got a point. It was a highly entertaining match and we came so close to winning it. You might argue that all 4 of their goals were individual mistakes, but it doesn't really matter if we keep banging in them in at the other end!
Just to answer the point above re ifollow. All EFL1 matches will be accessible by both home and away supporters. Home ST holders get a free code and everyone else has to pay the £10 matchday pass fee. Both clubs agree in advance how many away fans would have travelled and the Home club receives that amount of the match day pass fee with the away club receiving any subscriptions above the agreed amount. For example , if we (AFC Wimbledon and PAFC) agreed that it was reasonable to have expected 750 argyle fans to have travelled to loftus road yesterday (in normal circumstances) but 2000 PAFC fans bought a £10 match pass , Wimbledon would receive the money for the those 750 match passes, but we would receive the rest i.e. 1250. There were lots of different suggestions on the table, but this seemed the best compromise.

This evenings match on BBC1 was Leicester v Burnley. 86th minute Burnley have a free kick just outside the box right in the middle almost a mirror image of us yesterday. Schmichael lined his wall up to cover almost two thirds of his goal and stood in the other third. Exactly the same as Cooper did. Burnley player could not loop it over the wall and get it on target. I rest my case Milord. Go tell the Leicester keeper he is feeble and he gave a freebie shot. I watched it again several times today. Guess what the wall still didn't move an inch. Question is what is a wall of players for exactly?

You are reading too much pasoti plym with your keeper opinions. Why have a rookie keeper and give him experience from another club when we can do the favour to our own rookie. You plym are like the rest of pasoti you change with the wind because one match he is the greatest prospect going and should be given games and the next he is rubbish and should be put back into the youth team. The defence was at fault yesterday for most of the goals and not just the keeper. Buy a seasons pass to iFollow and watch them a bit more rather than take a view from a few highlights and the opinion of another website.

I saw the Leicester game as well....and Schmeichel was further towards the centre although I don't expect you to acknowledge that fact....The Burnley player was crap and just blasted away.....very poor for a premier player.

Yet again sensible you trash my view and expect your view to be the only one that is acceptable.....I shall still share my views and if it doesn't fit your opinion then I'm sorry....feels a bit like being bullied.... but that's life and I'll just have to accept it.

"but any regular kick taker could loop it over a defensive wall in that position".......................except that one then. It's not bullying it's a fact plym. Please feel free to post your own opinions but please don't take other people's from another site and pass them off as yours. I could point to numerous times where almost word for word has been posted on pasoti and once again with this particular match. Say what you see not what you read is all I'm asking. Try being a bit more supportive of your team as well instead of Private Fraiser all the time. Nobody expects blind optimism but we aren't always doomed Mr Mainwaring.

There is a lot of unwarranted hysteria about all this.

Defending is NOT just about the three at the back. It's about the midfield and the wingbacks, it's about how you play the ball out and how you press when the other lot have the ball. Of all the "departments", the defence depends most on understanding between the players so that positioning and so on becomes instinctive. We've got a new 4 man unit that's only played together a couple of times.

Cooper has made some good saves but what impresses me more is that he's dealt with corners and crosses with confidence. That's the bread and butter and where a young keeper who isn't the tallest might have struggled. Any pundit will tell you that the ideal place for a free kick is to the left or right of the goal. They will always say "this is too central" if a free kick is in the dead centre. Fair enough, Cooper was caught out because the obvious choice for a right footer would have been to curl the ball around the right of the wall as he looked at it. That strike on Saturday was a stunner, up and over the wall to the left as he looked at it. Cooper was caught out but so would 99% of goalkeepers.

We've gone up a league but we're making chances for fun and it looks as though what was supposed to be Ryan Lowe's mantra "you may score 3 but we'll score 4" is a realistic tactical plan. Mayor isn't the player we saw last season. He's 50% better and he wasn't exactly bad before. Jepcott and Hardie are are first choice pairing up front and they haven't started together in the league yet. I haven't checked but somebody said that we've scored 10 goals in competitive games so far, each one scored by a different player. We have goals throughout the team.

If you can't make chances and score goals you have a real problem because you can't manufacture talent. You can coach a defence to improve.

We've got a home win and an away draw in the first two having gone up a league. We're one of only 7 teams who haven't lost yet and we are at home on Saturday to a team that haven't won yet. The things that haven't gone right can be fixed and it could all be much worse.
