Food for thought, we were a different team once Power left the field, thats a fact.

Great result. Well done lads. If Messi had scored that Gooch goal the pundits across the world would be jizzing in their pants.

Doesn't change my opinion that I want pace in the team, at least in the bench.

Great result. Much better in the second half, still have my doubts about parky and his selections and tactics long term. Can't see him being the gaffer at the end of the season if the takeover goes through.

Good win. My only negative is that Parkinson will be smug as **** for selecting Leadbitter and leaving the kids out again. I refuse to change my mind on this regardless of the result.

Leadbitter was very tidy mind. I’m still baffled for Scowen. Doesn’t change the fact the initial 11 didn’t look like scoring.

Gooch staying fit all season would be nice, he really can play and he gets goals.

Tad harsh, considering he knows the league inside out. I also get fans aren't having him and that's fine.

I think O'Niens goal made the difference, after that had lots more confidence and created some more great chances.

On what i've seen in the 2 league games, Leadbitter and Scowen should be the middle 2 with Gooch coming in for O'Brien leaving Maguire and Gooch both having the option to push up alongside Graham.

I'm not complaining about the starting 11, but the bench was rubbish. Wyke, Graham and obrian were enough strikers. Could have had diamond instead of Grigg.

But a good win all done and said. Let's see what selections he makes when the games start piling up and we need the depth

Yes he got a good mark. We all have our opinions mine is Grant with his experience is maybe one for closing a game down when we are leading. I want somebody with more energy and pace in the team and I believe Scowen gives us that.
PP picked his team for today and we won so well done to him.

It was 1-0 by then though mate and we were in full control.

For me, credit where it's due, a lot of pressure on him and he got the result.

Agree about the O9 goal. Different mindset.

As he has made Max captain I think it will be safe assume that when fit he is taking one of them places.

Great play by Power. Sold the entire Oxford defence a dummy with that exquisite pass off the outside of the right peg. Truly class.
