    Not sure how he stays there though. Mariappa and Doyley started the summer as the most likely to be looking over their shoulders after a dozen games, but they've been great this season.

    I was going to ask when was the last time Watford lost by two goals when all the opponents goals were penalties and then Guilherme Do Prado messed my question.

    Southampton putting in a ruthless second half display makes the penalties a LITTLE easier to stomach.

    I guess in the scheme of things there's no real damage done. Still three points clear, and got the same result away to Southampton that most of our competitors will end up with.

    According to Andy Barwell at Final Score, 3-0 a very harsh scoreline on Watford, who have "made a real game of this".

    Doesn't sound like it, but I'll take a compliment from a neutral gratefully. <ok>
