    I really like him as well but he's got a lot of good players ahead of him before he can break through. It would be a luxury to keep him. Selling him is about putting his career first. I understand we have a sell on clause as part of the deal. Great business again by the club.

    Another stat - for anyone reading who likes that sort of thing - he leads the league for ball carrying. Fastest ball carrier and third for distance carried.

    Something didn't feel quite right about writing that.<laugh>

    Gomez is still very young, weve got that French lad who looks like he ate all the other centre backs hes so big and sepp van de berg as well.

    The emergence of Williams as 2nd choice rb won't have done him any favours.

    Its quite amazing that at only 29 virgil is the oldest of our back four.

    I think we're seeing the fruits of what Klopp was brought here for. FSG went for the man who'd twice done what they wanted doing at Liverpool. Building success.
