It's not happened yet. Imagine if "Bale to Spurs" fell through. I've renewed my Russian visa, just in case.
They’ve paid well over the odds as they needed a payment plan with low initial deposit. They’ve patently got cash flow issues. Otherwise they’d have paid the extra £2.5m and bought Werner, but that would have had to be all cash up front, as it was a release clause. They’ll shed the likes of Shaquiri, Brewster and maybe still Wijnaldum imo.
His agent is one hard nosed muthafucker, I reckon he’s trying to get a permanent deal in place for a longer period than just the 12 months initial loan.
I hope so. Even an injury prone Bale is better than some of the lethargic tossers we have playing for us, right now. Just having Bale on the training ground is going to provide some impetus to the squad.
One of our local journos who’s generally spot on reckons we have the option of a second year loan if all goes well, if that’s the case then at the end of that second year he becomes a free agent so if he still wants to stay we can sort ideally a permanent.
My point being, that his agent will want his client to be in the driving seat not Spurs mate. I doubt he’ll want that second year and beyond to be at the behest of Spurs.
Don't agree with any of that. Even putting aside the fact that the bloke is dealing with the hardest chairman in world football, the idea that any player's agent thinks he can walk into a top club and start acting Billy Big Bollocks and truly believe he can get away with it is an absurd notion. You don't think both the agent and Bale know this? Really, Tobias? The two of them have wasted a trip if they're here to play that game. And I don't think either one of them is that stupid.
It's not just about the fee. Liverpool won't break their wage structure for players (and won't give players release clauses).
Paying on the never never increased the price. the standard for a 29 year old with a year left is free normally. Liverpool managed to pay £20m.
His agent will try and get the best deal for his client that’s simply how it works. Where those negotiations end up is invariably in a compromise. As to who holds the cards, that’s debatable, Spurs fans would be livid if this falls down now. I’m sure a deal will be done, but I’m equally sure that Bales agent will be doing his best to squeeze Levys balls.
be a great deal that. Costing Spurs half his current wage. He is a global name, great player. Will have to sort the transfer of the summer table out if this comes off. 1.Rodriguez 2.Bale 3.Hendrick But still time for City to make a push.
Spurs get Bale for 1 season for £20m. Liverpool get Thiago 1 season earlier for £20m. Everton will get half a season's worth of appearances out of Rodriguez for £12m. Standard prices.
Yeah wage structure. It’s not like the 5th highest earner in World football is on your books or anything.
Unsure how PiF are allowing their backdoor plan to get players into Newcastle be upset by spurs and Co. if they don’t move quickly they will have to panic buy Walcott, Sigurdsson and Bernard.
