Something along the lines of politicians not/never being truthful, one of the mods clearly didn’t like it, I can guess which one

You said the government could **** off with taking your details for track and trace and it was removed to avoid a debate about track and trace and/or whether they should **** or not. <ok>

£1.8m a year and the Allams are coming up to their 10th anniversary so £1.8m x 10 is hardly 'a gift of a business opportunity' is it ?
Also over ten million reasons 'why should HCC help the Allams' as someone asked in an earlier post ? Its not just the Allams though is it ? Its a legitimate business employing a lot of people in Hull. I still say it was a decision made more out of vindictiveness then a concern for public health.

To what end? You'll cut your nose off to spite your face?

I'm fairly certain Amnesia will kick in for a fair few should we climb our way back up to those heady heights again!!!

Apologies for being a boring runt but In these unprecedented times somebody has to run our club and to my best knowledge it’s still the set of ****s known as the Allam’s.

That’s either bollocks or the employers haven’t bothered reading the rules on isolating after a holiday.
You have to isolate for 14 days whether you get a negative test or not.

I'm sure what you say is true, but what is the logic behind that? If they have tested negative, why are they still required to self isolate?

No one would have had to contact the Council about the poorly worded club email about family/social bubbles, it was all over social media when it was sent out (someone posted some tweets about it on here, but not sure which thread)
I’d imagine the safety meeting would have wanted to make sure the 600 were distanced as per Govt guidance (which is in households/support bubbles) rather than in the ‘name who your six mates are you want to sit with’ way the clubs email seemed to be read by most people, me included.
Can’t see why the club couldn’t have done that by just saying the 600 would all be 2m apart for the trial I don’t know, but maybe things like that weren’t covered in the info/plans the club needed to provide for the safety certificate?
I know people have focussed on the rate of covid increase, which was obviously a factor, but what the clubs actual plans were must also have been considered (assuming they had one to consider of course!)

Still missing the point its not about the money but if you don't play fair with them they won't play fair with you

Like with the fans it's easy to piss them off but harder to get them back on your side

I’ve no idea what the logic is, I just know that’s the case. Something about the fact that the tests don’t work until you have symptoms and symptoms can take up to 14 days to show themselves I think (but don’t ask me how that fits with other isolation guidance because I think other guidance has different timescales and I don’t understand that logic either!)
“ If you are tested and receive a negative result for coronavirus, you must continue to self-isolate until you have been in the UK for 14 days, even if your symptoms have gone.”

In which case, there is no point have a test in those circumstances, which I guess supports your initial point.

My understanding was,and still is,if you came back off holiday from one of the listed destinations, you 'just' self isolated for 14 days and a test wasn't necessary.

Of course if you displayed symptoms or started to feel unwell you could ask to be tested? Irrespective of the outcome you were still deemed to be in self isolation.

Some employers seem to be making rules up as they go along to suit the needs of their business and some employees have done similar to suit the needs of their wallets(I'm not in any way being judgemental of the 2nd scenario) because numerous families live hand to mouth.

    Quite.
I think it says if you have symptoms you need to isolate for 10 days from then too so you might end up off for 23 days?
Testing might be useful so you know I suppose but if you’re isolating anyway I’m not sure it would have any impact (unless you got really bad and needed treatment)
