Yeah that is really awful, another strange thing about them is they are so old, apart from Field and Burke who occasionally come off the bench every single player who has played this season is 27 or older. That's quite a good way to get relegated to League 1.

    morning edit: Sturridge was a £2m fee + £1.8m salary. £50,000 a minute.

Detailed accounts are now up. Some things:

    - We paid £580,000 to a director for "loss of office". Must have been Gareth Rogers? He's the only director to leave.
    - Net assets up £35m to £66.2m.
    - Cash on hand was up to £37m (it's almost definitely higher now owing to our transfer business this season).
    - Oddly, while Toby Steele stated to the Echo that we had a net cash position of £2.9m, our financial statement indicates that we had a net cash position of £17.0m. I have no idea how to square the two statements.

Swiss Ramble's look at our finances in detail (click for the full thread):

Worth noting that we moved from a net debt of £39m to a net cash position of £4m before the sale. We were sitting on £41m in cash as of the end of the 2016-17 fiscal year.

Despite all of the talk about our big spending, we were actually near the bottom of the league in expenditure on player purchases in 2016-17:

    His final conclusion:

Interesting that we got the 5th most money from the Europa League despite being knocked out in the group stages.Marginally less (€1m) than losing finalists Ajax!

The share of TV revenues massively favours UK-based clubs, in both EL and CL. Leicester got more money for making the quarter finals than Real Madrid in winning it.

I knew it was favourable to UK clubs but not to that extent.. That's crazy, surely Real Madrid attract a higher TV audience!

It's based on a domestic revenue pool, and is shared between all the teams from that country based on a whole bunch of things that I can't claim to understand. Previous league's year position plays into it; how deep each team goes in Europe does, as well. There might be other factors, I'm not sure. End result is that Real Madrid got punished in part because their compatriots did relatively well, and Leicester benefited because the rest of the English teams sucked.

Well, I was beginning to think that either you were imagining this poster, or I had put him on ignore, before he had even made his first post.

They left a couple of tags behind too, I have no recollection of who it was but they obviously collected a site ban PDQ.
