We're in the Europey again this season. But I'd rather see Arteta use the youngsters in that comp and use the first team to really push on for a top 4 spot to get back into the Champions League.
I’m delighted they won and I hope they win next week, as the Thurs / Sunday EL effect will hopefully impact their league form.
Its wise to not take it too seriously as a club if your trying to get back into the top four or even trying to win the title, at least until the latter stages, if you make it that far with say your U23's. Its a good comp to win though, loved when we won it in 2001 when we wernt doing **** all in the league at the time.
Just looking at that Thiago deal for Liverpool. You gotta say that at £20m + £5m add on's that's a ****ing brilliant deal for them. Quality player who's proven at the very top level. It's quite a coup for them that.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to win it as it's a pot and a place in the CL. But there are so many ****ing games, and combined with a condensed league this year, the games are going to be coming every 2/3 days what with the EFL and FA cup too. I want to see Arsenal really push on to get back into the top 4. And I think that should be our priority this season.
And they’ve managed to get the fee on the drip as they’re skint. Top player and a very good deal. *note to Kopites, this ^ is what an honest assessment is*
Does this mean if he's a dud in the first season you can cancel the other payments and send him back?
We'll see. We still need to add a couple of players. If we can get Thomas Partey in, then we'll have strengthened right through the spine of the team and I think we'll be in decent shape to mount a top 4 challenge at least.
Maybe, I do think Arteta will be the one to get you back competing though, you can see how much better you are especially at playing it from the back which was apparent in the Charity Shield I just think this season might be too soon, but saying that there's still time for some big signings for a lot of clubs these next few weeks so who fukin knows really bru
Arteta has transformed the whole mentality of the team, so that bodes well. We've become difficult to beat, which was the exact ****ing opposite of what we've been for the last 7-8 years. We've finally got a backbone. And we've got Aubameyang who's a ****ing weapon up front.
It's a continuation of our form from just over a month ago when we won the FA cup and beat you slags, so fk you bro.
Getting a deal Over a number of seasons is good work, but nothing new with stages payments. but imagine a whole MF for about £40m And a Colombian superstar for free.
