Not that he has had a second (or third or fourth) job, per se. More that someone is willing to give him £100k a year for seven hours a week of work when he’s the bloke who wasted money on a ferry contract for a company who didn’t operate ferries. One of his less costly mistakes. I sincerely doubt he’s been headhunted due to his ability.
Whoever is going to be paying him won't be doing so without expecting something in return clearly Typically former ministers / MPs are paid because of their knowledge / contacts, much in the same way that companies pay PR advisors
So you're just p!ssed that he's earning a wedge more than you Maybe you should contact the ferry company and tell them that they're wasting their money They've obviously not researched this at all have they?
Are you that surprised when we have a Prime Minister who wasted millions on drawing up plans for a ‘Garden Bridge’ and spent £320,000 on water cannon that could never be used in London’s streets, only for them to be sold for £11000 as scrap
I expect they’ll get great value for money even if he ducks out early and only does 6 hours some weeks. The problem is if it’s at your and my expense.
Shame we didn't keep them, they'd have come in handy especially for the XR protests, at least they'd have had a wash...
Don't agree Parliament wouldn't if there was no deal, evidence of EU bad faith and a genuine threat of banning exports from GB to NI. I think the Niel amendment was a good compromise. It's a sword of Damocles over Barnier's head should be try more bullying over NI Seems the UK has made some concessions over fishing around the Channel Islands, so the EU treating it as a sacrificial lamb theory goes out of the window. No deal would really damage the French and Dutch fishing industries at a time they could least afford it
That would be a helluva deterrent. Groups standing around, shoulders hunched, gleaming wet and a soaking wet spliff hanging off their lower lip
Correct Goldie. Frost and our team offered them a deal regarding fishing on a yearly basis (and I believe the Channel Islands were part of this). Once again Barnier mocked us with that quip about 'fish and waters.' Since then they have been beating the drum with the help of our 'useful idiots' telling everyone it's all our fault. I really don't get how people keep sticking up for the EU when we know they have been causing the problems of late. That video I posted the other day with them saying they would use NI against us sums them up... Tw2ts. Remainer fanatics need to take note... these are the people they stick up for? So pleased we are out of that cr2p club. As I said, if they push us too far, we will walk. Let's see how long Macron and Co last when they will have 1M striking? The Eurozone is in the crap and stalling again... they need this deal (as we do). I reckon before long Angela Merkel will step in past Barnier and the muppet show and take over. Let's talk to the head and not the minions.
I would love to have been a fly on the wall in the Starmer household. Can you imagine the scene... Starmer realises the WA bill is coming up and needs an excuse to avoid the House. Then his son walks into the kitchen ready for school. Starmer: You look unwell. Kid: No I'm fine. Starmer: I think you have covid? Kid: I'm fine and want to go to school. Starmer throws pepper into kids face... kid sneezes. Starmer: You see you are unwell and I need to quarantine! Kid: you chucked pepper over me... Mum! Later Kier is on phone to Ed Milliband. Starmer: Right you're doing the talking today... Make sure your voice sounds compassionate. Throw in a few tears. You can mention Russia and China breaking International law but for F22k sake don't mention Isreal! That's got me in enough trouble. Don't eat any sandwiches before, as we don't need any extra crap coming out of your mouth. And please don't mention the B word... I have avoided it since being leader and don't need you messing things up. Right I will see you Wednesday... What PMQs! Oh crap.. they might mention Brexit... Right, tell Angela Rayner that she is doing PMQs... Blame the Tories for everything and she is not to mention Brexit!. I will be back with a Zoom performance after my kids Covid test. KID: (crying) I don't want a test there is nothing wrong with me! Kid sneezes. The End.
Probably time to get over this Starmer thing when your party and the private companies it’s paying handsomely with our money for world-beating service can’t run a bath.
Watford, you are talking about something completely different. I am just saying that Starmer's Covid emergency was perfectly timed that's all? And it was.
Do you really think Boris cares about Millibland? I thought Millibland was very good although he did ham it up. Gove IMO was really good as was one of the other Tories. However, the most important person was missing. No, if's or but's mate, Starmer did a Lord Lucan.

Strange how 2 days ago, social distancing wasn't an issue when it wasn't a "Tory". I wonder why that would be? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image 7
