I saw soemthing recently that stated only around 5-6% have had it. Nowhere near to being close to herd immunity
That and the fact that they aren't even convinced you're immune when you've had it, or if you are it might only be for a few months. People are clinging to this immunity thing and it might not even exist
They are talking about it now on the BBC world news channel. The local councils want the power as a block to put in more restrictions as it would be non workable if councils had different restrictions in place. However they don't appear to be asking for a full lockdown, not that any part of the UK has ever been in full lockdown.
I know that times and pandemics are different, but the Spanish flu's second spike was much much worse than the first. The third was worse than the first too. please log in to view this image
It is the case, they were just ‘areas of concerns’ and the city councils requested the changes, hence its not a lockdown as such. That’s all been confirmed.
I've heard it's the leader of Newcastle City Council asking to put restrictions on pubs and restaurants. Absolute clown.
Considering that nightlife is the biggest income here then I agree. Wouldn’t care mate the bars here have been superb managing distancing etc, I can only think he’s concerned about 40,000 Uni students returning and sees this as taking the sting out of that.
Pubs clubs etc required to close between 10pm and 5am??????? That could be interpreted as actually closing your doors sometime between 10pm and 5am?????
