Hope Jose is feeling brave enough to experiment. I doubt Clarke will be involved just yet but one can only hope.
If the announcement video for Bale isn't the hype video they play before matches, stopped at "We are Blanchflower, Ardiles, and Bale", with a sudden cut to Bale in the new stadium chipping a Spurs branded golf ball onto a target painted with the faces of Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane, then I'm sorry but as well as my new role as co-DOF I also need to take over the club's social media.
there’s all sorts flying around. I’ve read it’s a 2 year loan. at this point I don’t care. Reguilon, Bale (hopefully a new CB and striker) and it’s been a great window IMO. We’ve had a stinker in the last few transfer windows, but this will go some way to correcting past mistakes and helping to balance out the squad. Yes we still need more as it’s a painful rebuild, but this a good step towards sorting that.
Some saying the Bale split is 50-50, others 60-40. Meaning we’ll be paying him between £240k-£300k a week. Looks like he’s turned up to the Madrid training ground today so I’m hoping/ presuming that’s to get his green light to fly over and clear his locker/ say bye to his friend, Zidane . Both have supposedly undergone part one of their medical in Madrid with the second part taking place at Hotspur Way when they arrive. Judging by what’s being said, I think there’s a possibility Reguilon may be announced today and then I reckon Bale tomorrow as Reguilon seems a bit more advanced, unless the club are looking to do a double announcement - which I doubt as I think there’ll be a bigger announcement video/ lead up for Bale’s return but that’s just purely guesswork on my part.
I want the announcement video to be Bale dressed in all black attire, abseiling off the sky bridge onto the pitch, he runs weaving through explosions with navy blue and white smoke bellowing into the sky. He enters the stadium kicking down the doors, sticks plastic explosives on Levy's office door , blows the door from its hinges, rips his balaclava off theur hinges, then sits at Levys desk and pulls out his gold plated shaeffer pen, signs his contract and plants a slobbery wet kiss on Daniel's forehead and hands him a box of milk tray.
I’ll just settle for Bale standing on the centre spot at the stadium holding a: Spurs. Wales. Golf. Madrid In that order banner.
Seems to also be conflicting reports on the length of the loan, some saying one, others two. Personally I think if the club is going through all this trouble to bring him back, it’s surely got to be a two year loan? That way it also means that at the end of that loan, he’ll be a free agent, meaning we can either snap him up if he’s done well or say our final goodbyes this time, lol.
I can’t actually believe it. Gareth Bale. ...and a quality left back in the space of about 48 hours! Perhaps Levy saw the constant uproar from Spurlock on Not606 and felt he had to act in fear of his life.
