For some strange reason a load of Man Utd fans are flooding Twitter saying Bale is past it and Regullon isn't fit to lace Luke Shaw's boots They are a weird bunch, Man Utd fans
I hope @remembercolinlee has come to the realisation he's going to be looking at a whole page of flashing sirens if this gets over the line ...also that he should have updated the OP over the weekend, so there's only one way to make sure he gets the message please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
So the excitement builds but our team mix feels so so off. is Hojbjerg really a top 6 player? We could have done so much better here. Could we have done better at RB than Doherty who is an attacking wing back? How does this work in a back 4. Why sell that man Trippier albeit a poor Walker. New LB? Looks good...maybe that side is sorted again. Dier and Toby as our CBs. Dier is not a CB. Toby has regressed. Sanchez needs to be back in. Very difficult to replace Jan and peak Toby. And then our midfield. We’re still praying N’dombele comes fit and good. Pinned our hopes on Lo Celso who has so much to prove. Will they live up to Eriksen, Dembeles. (Moura, Lamela, Bergwijn, Sissoko, Winks - squad players..some need to go.) Alli so average now. Needs shaking up. Yes, we have Son, Kane and potentially another big one. it just does not feel right...in 2017 every position had two top players that fit...were made for those positions. This is a very strange mix. On paper looks good but in reality. Who knows it may all work out. And where the **** are the back up strikers? Why am I not feeling it. Even with Bale on the cards. Must be stuck in the past. I trust the men being paid millions to manage will know far better and has it all figured out. This is still going to be long season and a long rebuild I think.
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is on the verge of agreeing a deal with Tottenham Hotspur, seven years after leaving the Premier League club. Bale, 31, moved from Spurs to Real for a then-world record £85m in 2013 and has since scored more than 100 goals and won four Champions League titles. Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, told BBC Wales Sport on Wednesday that talks over a move were "slowly progressing". Spurs boss Jose Mourinho refused to speculate on the discussions. In July 2019, Real cancelled a deal for Bale to join Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning, and he played 20 times for the Bernabeu club last season. Barnett said: "Gareth is closer to leaving Madrid than at any time in last seven years. "We are still negotiating. We shall see how it goes."
I checked the UEFA website earlier and it looks like he's been registered so I'm hoping he gets a start tomorrow, impossible to be any worse than the players that played on Sunday.
Gotcha, so he's in the squad then after his disaster loan spell back at Leeds. It has gone a bit quiet around him given that he was meant to be Spur's eventual answer to the LB/LW issue when he was initially signed.
Yup! Sess is a LB/ LW, Clarke a natural RW who can play LW if needed. Hopefully they’re both in the XI tomorrow.
