I get them 5 or so times a year, the vast majority I can deal with and just get on with life but the other really ****s me up n is a real struggle, though thinking of my boy will always get me through eventually.

This'd been a good chat for your thread that was closed the other day @brb

In other news I bought 20 quids worth of scratch cards during my rage earlier and won exactly a score back so that was quite a waste of 4 minutes.

    Cheers bro, appreciated x

Seems mad how long I've conversed with you on here going back to the Mackem board, almost feel like I know ya despite being words on a screen. One think I took from you that stuck was about it never being too late to change what I do jobwise, which I did and now happier than ever in that respect.

I think I did a depression thread on here before didn't I that was actually quite successful?

Brb only closed it in the end I think cos Matth kept bumping it saying "I'm feeling pretty down to be honest, But don't want to talk about it or take any advice" every 4 weeks.

I'm always anxious about that you know, like, feeling I'm on a path and can't get off.

I won't lie I've had many nights were I've been very depressed about that. Feeling like its all too late.

You're younger than me anyway ain't ya ffs? Move back to the UK and start a tree surgeon business in the NE with Chaos.

Receding just means **** genes not old <whistle>

Thought you said you were mid 20's? If you get the chance to do something bro then do it, what ya got to lose?

In my experience it's the stuff we don't do in life that we end up regretting rather than things we've done but perhaps shouldn't.

Changing the topic slightly but this is a big part of why I think smoking weed regularly can be so counterproductive for some people.

Tell you what though, I get sick of being made to feel guilty about not using every second of my life to the max. So many of these ‘Inspirational people’ are full of ****, there’s nothing better for the soul after a gruelling few days than a mong day in front of the tele with absolutely nothing to worry about.

Sometimes the best thing for a person to do is to switch off. I have a mate who’s always picking my brain for advice on how to set up new ventures and ideas and he’s always 200mph, getting nowhere. I always told him he just needs to slow down and focus, after (no lie) about 10 years of this, he text me recently saying he liked his job and was happy that he could provide a good life for his kids.

Yeah I'm the same and tend to have a good mixture I think. Strongly believe that everyone needs some chill time, mine normally being Sunday afternoon watching footy after dropping the lad off.

I've got a pal who's all into his pyramid schemes n **** online so is spending 6 hours a day doing that on top of his 8 hours normal job.

He's got a nipper same age as mine and is always asking me to get involved, my answer is always the same "Nah mate, I'd rather spend my free time with my little one' but then most people here will know that I'm not very motivated by money, as long as I can provide and have a little extra for leisure.

Last time we had this conversation he said something like 'but yeah I'll be basically retired by the time he's 14/15 And then I can do what I want with him'

He got emotional when I replied that although that's true he's missing his son growing up and the best years of his life.

Each to their own I suppose though but it ain't for me. Can't think of anything worse than working 15 hour days and not see my boy develop from crawling, talking and so on.

This is why Gordon Ramsay get's on my tits. I think he's hilarious but, I'm sure, positive the man has ADHD.

He's so ****ing high energy, never stops, even can't stand still. Works from 7am to 11 at night, doesn't see his family that much cos of it. I just dislike his high energy style very much, it's so unnecessary for me.

Marco Pierre-White was just as successful when he was an active chef, but much slower and laid back. I watched him in an interview and she asked him "what do you do on your Sunday off?" he said he sits in bed most of the day, watching telly and eating. Respect man, ffs.

I guess some people are high energy.

People including my wife say i'm wasting my life away playing games and watching tv but i ****ing enjoy it and i don't regret it so i will keep doing that and going on as many holidays as i can rather than thinking about what i want to do in 5 years time or where i want to be or doing finances on how much we are spending etc.
