Barring an "act of God" , if Jose cannot get to the EL group stage
then I refer you to the "Jose Mourinho Checklist" article.

Robbie Keane and Berbatov acted like spoilt pricks to force their way out...that is on them not Levy.
I think there are plenty of reason to criticise Levy but that aint one imho.

I love these 'blasts from the past', most which I remember, (getting on a bit) !:emoticon-0100-smile
Do hope Bale rumours are true. I grieved when he left and it was only the emergence of 'our Harry' that cheered me up again! Oh dear, you would never think I was a great grandmother. I'm normally sensible but when it comes to my beloved SPURS I'm a little kid again <laugh>

So what does everyone think will happen to Sessegnon?

Still didn’t make the squad on Sunday (I was a bit peeved at that, especially as he had a full pre-season) and with Reguilon arriving, Sess will essentially be in the same position KWP was with Tripps and Aurier, where as he’d also be behind Son/ Bergwijn etc for the LW role. Hard to see him getting much game time even in a congested season should the new signings arrive.

Think he might be sent on loan or a surprise sale?

A loan to Germany might do him good and would make sense

I don’t think we’ll sell, especially as he’s HG. A loan might work for everyone as long as it’s a good level and he gets game time. Ideally PL or BL. I guess he’s a bit like Skippy - perhaps a little too good for a Championship side but is it better for him to be a starter at a side pushing for promotion or occasional player for a low PL side? I’d choose the former every time tbh.

One purveyor of the bleedin' obvious stated that we'd likely have a tactical switch, as Regullon can't play the Davies role

If only the club had an international defender who had been playing the davies role at RB for the best part of eighteen months...oh wait, we do

The thread is definitely serving it’s purpose

it was created to store all the negative narratives in one place so as not to cluster the rest of the board

please help yourself to the article when you want a moan about the manager

It’s either that and play a more open midfield or play with 2 attacking fullbacks and pray that Højbjerg and AN Other can hold the fort. Either way the flexibility is good to have. We can overload the left or right flank now or play a more balanced side.

What are you actually having a whinge about?

Or are you actually trying to say that you have found us a player available to do the job already at the club and we could have saved some money?

It’s good that Reguilon is more attacking than Davies. I think it would make (possibly already has) Spurs very predictable when you know the only possibility is attacking right back and defensive left back

r/coys is convinced we're going for three at the back with Doherty and Regullon as wingbacks...although I honestly can't see us going for that as that would have us playing 343 and nerfing Lo Celso by having him as a CM
The thing is that we'd be equally predictable if we just flip the system and have Regullon at LB with Foyth/Tanganga at RB
I'm talking about these things known as "tactics"

They've been all the rage ever since we sacked Dim Sherwood

Possibly a loan like Parrott and Skippy. Then all 3 can come back next season ready to take their place in the starting line up

Yeah I don’t see 3 at the back happening. We haven’t got the midfielders for it. Too many people playing video games instead of watching football.

**** the one back, one forward FB system. Team “we’ll score more than you” baby!

    Hugo
    Doherty, CB, CB, Reguilon
    Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Ndombele
    Bale, Kane, Son

It’s gonna concede around 2-3 a game but it’ll probably score about 5.
