I think everyone definitely wants to see trophies at Spurs, made no secret it was an unreal experience being there to watch us win the league cup back in 09 and that’s the smallest of the lot. I want more of that and I do think the club does too, it’s just over the years the players/ managers haven’t turned up when it’s mattered and that’s why I don’t personally agree with the whole “1 cup in 20 years” thing as a way to berate Levy, he can’t control the outcome and we’ve made a decent amount of finals as well bottling numerous semi’s. Ideally Bale and Reguilon plus maybe one or two more may change that luck this season, ****ing hope it does anyway
Of course he is. With his Madrid salary, he can afford to have his own teleporter. WTF would he use aircraft to travel ??
Chris Wilder: "Hopefully Gareth stays in Madrid, it's a lovely place, great golf courses, don't make it harder for us!"
Yeah, Dan Kilpatrick is saying he’s heard he’s already at Hotspur Way to do his medical and therefore presumes an announcement tomorrow.
The point you continually miss is that all the Chairman can do is to create the resources to make the team better. How good the team is is best measured by league position. There is no conceivable strategy that would dramatically improve league position and reduce the chance of winning trophies. So you are accusing Enic of something which is impossible.
Is there any footage of Bale doing media interviews in decent Spanish ?? After 7 yrs he should be capable of saying more than "you know" / "at the end of the day" etc.
I think it was reported a year or more ago that his Spanish is perfectly decent these days in terms of getting by in day to day life. I think the whole language reason for him not settling was always a bit of a red herring tbh.
IF we do land Bale can you see the club going after a striker in this window with the likes of Kane , Bale and Son already in place would a striker be willing to chance getting a regular place
He'd only really be competing with Kane and it's clear that we've got a problem there. It's an opportunity for someone to start in cup games, come on in league matches and take Kane's place if he gets injured.
7 cup games guaranteed up to December. That is one sixth of the total PL games for another striker to play, and that is without PL subs or if Kane gets injured.
I see him more in the role behind Kane or maybe as a front two , also as attacking midfield , someone we need to unlock packed defences as I can't see him having the pace of Bale 2014
