Good for the confidence of Sema and Bachmann. I guess a trip to Newport isn't ideal but more game time for those who played tonight.
Winning penalty from the car park. Warning: Bad language. https://twitter.com/The1881_wfc/status/1305962215841894400
Dare I ask for those who watched. Who were the worst performers? Glad we scraped through with a mix of players in there.
Not sure that Phillips or Quina won a tackle all game. Sierralta and Perica need a bit more time to bed in by the looks.
How was Sinclair? This may have been the game for Ivic to decide who is not needed of the ones who are not trying to leave.
Think it is fair to say the keeper earnt us that win there - well, going by those highlights looks like we were right under the cosh.
Last night was the first time that a #WatfordFC goalkeeper has saved three penalties in a single penalty shootout ( @DBachmann1 ) & also the first time that Watford have stopped the opposition from scoring any of their penalties in a shootout.
I was a bit confused at first with the wrong team wearing yellow shirts, esp when we scored first, or so it seemed!
Agreed. Pedro was playing deeper and trying to make the play and at times was erratic. But the pace went up as soon as he came on. Sinclair was not so bad really... and could play a part in the championship. Chalobah seemed sloppy and considering he was captain more could be expected of him. Bachmann did a great job clearly. Phillips impressed me.
Was a hard game to watch.... and I admit to thinking i was wasting my time and money... but it all changed of course... .so not typical of recent league cup fare in some ways...
