Match Day Thread Will we Brexit the Cup - Saints v Brentford. Weds 16.09 - 7:45 pm

Been in the final twice, losing after scoring 2 goals in each (3 in the second one!).

 

why do you watch/support saints if you rule out any chance of us doing anything?

 

Coz it ain’t ever been about the winning! It’s an unexplainable attraction that happens the first time you walk up those steps and see that piece off green. If like me, it’s a floodlight game then it’s definitely love at first sight. In my case, I blame my old man.

Same here, its a family thing.. But I would never start the cup competitions off by saying we have zero chance of ever winning it.

I like to live in complete delusion that we are the best team in world football and will trounce all opponents. I believe this with all my heart, until the evidence goes against me - usually the first game of the season.

 

Saints are the best PL team....all teams below are undeserving and need to be in the Championship...and all teams above us are only there because they have the nerve to spend money on players and are lucky bar stewards.

Looks like there will be a good stream for this at https://carabaocup.live. I'm guessing SFC will be issuing codes. Hope so anyway. Viewing will remain restricted to 'supporters' - but how they define that is not clear...

I'm not sure why the club would issue a code. League cup matches don't form part of our season ticket. In normal times, anyone who wanted to attend the game would have to buy a ticket.

If the EFL wants to charge £10 per stream, that's their choice.

 

I will be working so will miss unfortunately.

 

Won’t bother as there is deciding ODI on Sky. England make me suffer less than Saints

 

£10 for an individual pass?

You get a weeks Sky Sports for less than that, and it can be watched in multiple households, plus this will be reserve squads. Way out on their pricing strategy.

 

I've got 9 months of Sky Sports for £20 per month. £10 for one match is a joke.

 

Yeah, I won't be paying £10. I'll stick the radio on, whilst watching what I'm already paying for (England v Australia).

 

£10 per match is standard across things like ifollow in the football league.

Remember the days of premplus and the like, they used to charge like £15!

 

The drawing power of England v Australia is certainly much stronger to me as well.

 

I'd be very interested to see afterwards how many match passes were purchased, if anyone knows a way of finding such a thing out. Really can't see it being popular at all

 

The thing that gets me is that it wouldn't have been much more than that were we actually allowed to attend. Robbing bastards.
