Within yourself? All these months of covid **** must have taken a toll. It's kinda 2 part question. Those who used to go to the gym etc, how has it affected you, are you getting back, or not bothered? Those who have worked at home (i take it you are all back back now). How are you coping? Mentality and physically. Is anyone back to the gym? Working from home, did you do any kind of excercise during locckdown?
I was pretty busy during the first part of the lockdown, got involved with a couple of community things. Was concerned about my business as it basically operates at events, markets, festivals etc which all got shutdown, but I managed to boost the online side of things. Since then it's been a gradual return to some sort of normal business, but the threat of another lockdown or further restrictions always looms. I generally exercise outdoors, so even though the pool was shut, it was bliss when the beaches were empty and no ****er was to be seen anywhere out on the bike etc. So that part of it has been easy. The toughest part of all of this has been trying to make sure my old dear is okay. She's recently widowed and was just starting to rebuild her life when lockdown happened, so she was completely isolated again.
I'm still working from home and no sign of that ending which is fine by me. I've handled it well but there have been ups and downs within my family. I'm healthier no doubt, go out walking a lot, can't really do anything else like Gym or running about.
No, I manage myself well and don't want to go back, I'm also involved with a group that is working on how this is made permanent for some people. This will probably be permanent for me.
I think Boris and co have misjudged the mood of office based workers. They are there telling them to get the **** back to work, but the whole landscape has changed and folk now want to work from home. I read an article the other day where it said that productivity had actually gone up with home based workers, despite the fear that the distraction of home life, kids, xbox, ****ing etc would drive productivity down.
It works well for some and as time goes by you can see the people who need to go back as they cannot manage themselves. It's definitely changed though, no need for offices full of people when they can do the same job from home.
Covid and the takeover saga has ruined my life basically.. The devil's dandruff problems of the past were difficult, but nothing has come close to the latest obsession
Lockdown gave me a lot of time to appreciate what a fast paced environment I worked in, one that never stopped to evaluate it’s own outdated ethics. I ****ed it off within weeks of the restart, and took up a project that will leave a mark on my city, and in a small way, help shape a future for my girls to thrive in. I feel ok, not enjoyed the WFH environment as much as Luv has. I prefer to be facing people, not on Teams. Haven’t missed Manchester traffic though.
The idea of sitting on a train for an hour with hundreds of other people and then spending the day in a crowded office wearing a face mask all day is a ****ing unappealing prospect.
Not a chance productivity is up on the whole, coordination is almost non-existent and screen sharing in groups is just ****ing stupid. Meetings about meetings on Teams ffs, when you’d normally just shout across the office at somebody for **** like that.
