This explains the way the Post Office disgracefully pursued sub-postmasters for cash differences when there were problems with the Horizon computer system.

One guy checked the many transactions and he found duplicate entries for the larger amounts of about £5k out of the £6k difference. The sub-postmasters didnt have all the details of the transactions and they only had a narrow printout to compare to.

Many sub-postmasters were told that they were the only one who had differences.

The Post Office lied about Horizon only being accessible by the sub-postmasters until journalists found a whistleblower who admitted that there were four different ways other people could access the system.
