Good player who is underrated by a lot of our fans. Glad he is staying on although 6 years seems excessive
T If we are to be other than avoiding relegation each season then we desperately need better than Hayden. No problem with a new contract but six years? I would hate to think Hayden would be a regular for the next six seasons.
Midfield is all about the balance of players and it looked much better last night. Energy and closing down from Hayden and Hendricks, Shelvey’s passing and St Maximins ability to dribble and accelerate when we break up moves. Think Longstaff can play a part in there as well, when we want to play further forward and obviously Almiron is essential when we need more pace. Great to see more competition there. Also thought we looked much better at getting forward and supporting the strikers from midfield than last season.
Every midfield needs a player to break up the play and like it or not Hayden does this really well for us. I don't understand why he gets so much stick. When Tiote was at his best I didn't hear too many complaining. Granted they are different players but they play similar roles. RIP Cheick
Tiote was crap tbh.. Had a good season under Pards, but he was pretty useless otherwise... His passing was dreadful
Bruce needs to say something in the media about him being targeted and fouled... Last night was shocking... He's going to get a serious injury if that stuffs allowed every week
OK, if Tiote was 100x better than Hayden then HBA had better behind him than ASM does now. Considering ASM is looking the part with Hayden as HBAs Tiote then sorry but hBA is dropping out of the top 3 French players.
No point arguing, maybe people are seeing something I don't in him, I just see someone plod around miles behind the game giving away daft fouls all the time with no real ability
