Your right , he is the man for the job but your also right, people will not support you, they don't want him.
I reckon since our very public downfall a lot of supporters realise that Pulis or a manager like him, would be a good thing for Sunderland.
Pulis and Philips would be an ideal combination imo. but maybe to expensive at this point in time, Clough might be a more realistic target.
Brekkie of champs son (I’m awaiting delivery ) Storey, not that he had any good will anyway, well by backing Parky that’s another massive ‘stay away’ for him.
I personal think we should try to just get promoted this season with the manager we have (big ask I know) and then go all out in the championship for a manger,
There’s always the hope that if the takeover happens we could convince a manager of the calibre required to work us through the championship and beyond could be attracted. Leeds got Bielsa in the Championship as they had a good project and plan.
Problem with that is you can't really sack a manager thats just got you promoted. I went in to yesterday fairly positive with parkinson but as soon as the line up was announced alarm bells started ringing. Just dont think hes up to the job at all. I dont think the current squad are world beaters but theres enough there to think they should be better
What an appointment that would be mate! Seem to recall him when he left Burnley saying he wasn’t ed to be back south, I think it’s nailed on he ends up at West Ham. I can’t look past Clough or the Cowley brothers if we made a change, but there’s nothing to support they could get us beyond the Championship. A lot will hinge on the takeover getting over the line, in terms of if we can punch a bit above the level we are at.
I things go to plan I can see a big **** off statement made for chairman so I can see the plans for the manager being high aswell
We can but hope mate. Hopefully we get these last bits done and the takeover completed. We’ve a tough run of games now, and we don’t want to be chasing early doors, I’m sure the new owners will have someone well in mind already.
I think Bielsa is a bloody good manager. Can see him doing a good job at Leeds and then moving on up to bigger and better things.
More than that mate, Bielsa is an absolute pioneer, back 3’s? That was mainly him. High pressing 3-5. Again Bielsa. He’s been every bit and more an influence on the game as anyone else. The Chile side he managed was an absolute revelation and delight to watch, an absolute game changer. He’s brilliant.
you can like if you have a long term Plan. Even if dinobore gets us up he would be lost in the championship. Start afresh pre season and not waiting till December to bin him off
So are we thinking that things may move onto the next level after the rumoured meetings happen this week?
