I thought we looked absolutely no different to the last game we played against Bristol Rovers to finish last season. What's the point in having 75% of possession if you don't threaten? Got what we deserved and its done nothing to change my opinion that parkinson is just another name to the not good enough list. Also there can be no more blame of the fans expectations because we're not there to give them the stick in person
I hope to god we get new owners who will bring in their own manager. Parkinson has no balls and is **** scared to try any new blood. Neil, Diamond and Scowen would have been trying their bollox off today and would have excited us fans for the future. Instead he played the same tired style he forced on us last season. If he replaces Dobson with Leadbitter next match he has to go.
Yes. But there is more chance of sanity breaking out in bedlam than that happening. Th bloke is an underdog manager. A slow predictable team ran by a slow predictable man. It is an absolute certainty that we cannot go up under this bloke, but he would probably consider it a good effort if he "kept us out of danger". He might not even be able to do that.
****in garbage. Parkinson is clueless, why bother bigging Up players and not even have them on the bench. Scowen plays well and delivers from the dead ball, that mustn’t be what we want. Xhemajli signs full of glowing references, don’t bother with him either. Neil and Diamond had a great pre season, let’s just **** them off all together for players that proved last season they weren’t good enough. Just **** off ya twat and you Donald ya ****in fraud.
Why buy these players and not play them We were supposed to buy players better than what we got Not squad fillers And I know we lost players out of contract etc etc And they had to be replaced But with better
Nail on the head! Absolutely no change from last season, haven't learned from mistakes. And cant see what's all of us see , glaringly lack of pace and someone who can pass a ball. It was so obvious the last TWO seasons and theres been no effort whatsoever to sort it out. Needs to go for me like had enough of his terrible, slow, obvious football
I swear, if we’d just played Scowen we would win. Parky interview saying ‘lots of chances’, not really we had lots of attempts but we didn’t make any clear chances bar the header at the end as the midfield has no vision. Scowen or Gooch from the start and I am utterly convinced we win that game. Even making a change at half time we would have. Rovers were shocking, as bad a side as I’ve seen, 2 wins in 20 games and we’ve dropped points already. Only positive Peterborough and Portsmouth didn’t win either.
I haven’t seen the game. I was upbeat and confident until I seen the team. My confidence drained away and I remarked to my son that we’d end up with a draw. So, not having seen the match there’s not a lot I can say but the manager needs some good results or the shouts for him to go will get very loud, very soon.
I thought we looked ok in parts. Keeper tips one onto the post then one cleared off the line. Any other day they go in and it's one of those "These are the kind of games you slug out". As mentioned before I see no difference to the premature end of last season to the start of this one. Early doors, but lack of creativity is alarming.
I'm looking at these games as the last few before Donald, Parkinson and Wyke become the same history as Cowie, McMenenemy and Gareth Hall.
i see a lot of posters saying we are 'too slow'...i see nothing wrong with a steady build up IF it leads to something but too often we end up going sideways or back todefence or keeper, then the hoof...yet i also see in very rare glimpses some nice quick triangles (need more of this) but the main thing that scared me today was watching our left and right side defenders getting done for pace along with wright resorting to fouls (that must have been VERY close to a red) as he was caught out...normally looks a very solid and reliable man, hope today was a one off for him. we have lads who can put a good cross in without having to beat a man or get to the byline yet they sit and watch while others struggle (hume did well today, by the way), we have lads who can play defence splitting passes yet for some reason rarely do, how can a team that looked very cohesive and 'on the ball' suddenly turn into every fans horror show???
Disappointing but when you’re 1-0 down after 3 minutes then an 82 minute equaliser seems like a win. Onwards and upwards- keep the faith and we’ll get there!
When I saw all the scores from 3 0 to 5 0 being predicted I thought anybody who could predict the right score must be brilliant.
No pace, no power, no one who will really worry teams. We're decent, we won't be far off the top two, but I'd expect us about 5th and that isn't good enough. Hope Parkinson proves me wrong. We've got a few hard games now, have us near automatic after them and I'd keep him, do poorly I'd **** him off. We're Sunderland and we need to start whipping our balls out and showing them off, not being happy with being near the play off places in February
