We will see how they start tomorrow in the first 100 kms., if they go very fast the second part of the stage can be devastating.
don’t think there is remotely a harder sport than this , three weeks of riding at your limit ,day after day , even boxing doesn’t come close , they train at a high level , then race for weeks .........chapeau to anyone who does it !
Completely agree. Never really watched cycling and never been into it but what they do is unbelievable. They're freaks and I mean that in the most positive way possible.
The bit that gets me is that about 50% of the peloton are riding to support others and have no chance of winning a stage, a jersey let alone the whole tour. They are just riding three weeks of carnage to help out their teams. Fetching bottles, riding hard for their teammates, keeping others from doing the most work. Incredible sport for the differences in it. Tomorrow I am really tempted to have a dabble on the diesel engine that is Bernal. He showed something today and I do think that if the PogRog (trademarking that) race goes too soon they could cause themselves all sorts of problems. I am sending the family out tomorrow afternoon!!
I actually think this years Tour has been made all the better with not having a strong Sky team in it, as the teams fighting out for the yellow jersey can't dominate the others. Sky were so good at setting the race tempo from the beginning so nullified any threat, but this year they are going after each others throats day after day...
It would be more interesting if Pog had some back up. No team should be allowed yellow kit either, it’s annoying

yep , think virtually all of them are , ave speeds have gone down , the watt meters will detect abnormal efforts , along with the testing , the culture has totally changed in cycling thankfully ....other sports haven’t remotely tried to do the same .......golf , riddled , rugby , football , etc have very low level testing ......blind eyes ....
