Erik had his posts deleted because he spoke the truth, and the truth upset people

Erik knows that he has the support of many other posters

I don’t know why they feel to have 5-6 reporters in the studio scattered around the various rooms. It doesn’t work as a format like that. Just have the two in the studio with Jeff or open up the studio to fit more people in.

Of the new ones today, I thought Tony Pulis and Glen Johnson were a good addition. Tim Sherwood was average. Clinton Morrison is awful. Sue Smith was good too.

Jeff opened the show with “I’m Back. Merse is back. Some others aren’t back.” Little dig at his employers.

Just had a look to see what is on instead of Sunday Supplement. The answer if The Women's Football Show - a look at all the latest talking points around the world of women's football. I wonder how many of the special guests and pundits on that will be male? Will be interesting to see the viewing figures compared to the programme it has replaced.

If Sunday Supplement got high viewing figures and was an asset to Sky Sports programming, it wouldn't have been dropped, its as simple as that. They would never replace live Saturday evening Premier League fixtures with Women's football for that exact reason.

Why not try something new, unlocking potential new audiences and partnerships in the process? It might flop (it probably will to be fair) but there's no reason not to try it.

Spurs Women have just signed a player with more Instagram follows than the official men's team account, in the era we live in broadcasters see value in that and are obviously going to try to exploit it.

It could be a massive flop, it may forced diversity but all Sky care about is their bottom line.

Will be interesting to see if they release the viewing figures to give a comparison, though I doubt they will.
Instagram figures mean nothing. When Spurs women get as many going to their matches as men you will have a point.

I've enjoyed watching womens matches and I've enjoyed watch U23 matches. Whereas I've not enjoyed watching a lot of City's first team matches. The important thing is that City's first team matches are important whereas the others are relaxing.

In the world we live in that couldn't be further from the truth, corporate partners place significant value on being able to reach millions of people online, bums on seats may drive direct revenue for clubs but having a high profile player drives revenue from merchandise and sponsorship, online reach is a significant part of any partnership deal these days.

So, Spurs ladies will be funding themselves without having to rely on an funding from the men's team? In fact will any?

Signing one of the highest profile female players in the world, who happens to be American, a nation that watches Women's football more than most and a market that Premier League clubs are desperate to break isn't a coincidence.

The women's team aren't going to be self-funded over night, they don't need to be, that signing increases Spurs' brand awareness in a lucrative market place, exactly what they intended, it was a signing for the Men's team as much as it was for the Women.
