We were awful. We picked the wrong players, set them up wrong, didn’t change it when it wasn’t working, and made subs too late.

The pen and the red were over 90mins apart.

We have a good enough squad but this manager is so past his sell by date.
No change from last season unfortunately stuck in his ways
Neil and Diamond created nearly all our chances pre season and offer something different but they are not even on the bench
    sticks with Power and Dobson.
Was going to say it can only get better. But it will probably just stay the same.
Really didn't want to be so pessimistic this early but nothings changed

well i really, honestly thought i would be writing another glowing report here...but WTF happened?

bad first 11 choice, scowen and diamond have been on fire creating and getting in on scoring, maybe diamond needs a little more game time but dobson and power has NEVER worked well, not one game ever that i can think of...anyone enlighten me?

as feared we went for the long ball down the wings, easily cut out but no plan B, ok we went down to an early penalty but if you include the added time there was still a full 90+ to play, when 2 of your back 3 are the ones trying to drive the ball forward then you have to know something is wrong, more so when one of them is flanagan but he did ok today imho.

once again, clear cut chances were at a bare minimum it was no shock that we got an equaliser and close to a winner from shots outside the box...parky needs to seriously rethink his game plan (lol) or we are going to struggle, i hate to say this about one of our players but it can only be a good thing that dobson will miss some games.

honestly, i do not want to agree with you but you are so obviously correct, players who created chances being dropped, stick with trying a long ball down the wings, when that failed... stick with trying long balls down the wings...beggars belief and has blown my initial good feeling out of the water. :(

As you’ll have seen I was all for positive and a fresh slate for the season all week, but soon as I seen the team (note this was before kick off, before watching that dross) I was reminded that he’s useless.

Well, I went to Tesco, used the Mrs' card on bit shopping, came back and we'd equalised. Happy days. <party>

What was that? Only Bristol Rovers? Ah FFS

best bit of news was Dobsons red card that's him out for 3 now he will have to play a better team, does anyone think Parky's being paid to keep us in this league cos hes doing a splendid job at that

    Summed it up mate

just can’t figure PP out This wasn’t even working pre season Had to rely on Neil scowen and diamond to create our chances. Everyone thinks great we’ve found some creativity. Then come the big day he goes back to what we know doesn’t work. Unbelievable

That was horrible but think we're only a couple of players with pace away from being a really good team. If we had real pace either side of Grigg, signed a actual right back and used O'Nien in midfield we'd be a good side.

I agree but the manager needs to pick the best from what he has got and he didn’t as I said during the game he reminds me of Howard Wilkinson, that game was pretty much attack v defence for 90 minutes almost a training exercise, was fairly **** really

Said before. The ref couldn’t send him off quick enough! but the challenge was identical to their yellow in the first half. In every way. At least Scowen will get a game!

We've been a couple of players with pace short for about 10 years, all the ****ing time the opposition looks fast, big and fit, we look slow, small and fat.

    We look fitter at least.

Yeah it occurred to me several times today that O'Nien would be much better used in midfield, not surprising seeing as he's a midfielder but he's being wasted at RWB.

The ball sticks to him, he's strong and combative with good feet, is (relatively) dangerous going forward and can play a decent pass, he's also one of our few players who can play a basic one two. Should be in CM for me.

We could play Diamond on the left and Hume on the right if we wanted O/9 in midfield.
